"It was just as we expected and what we wanted—-a quiet remote place—-with more birds than people! We were so lucky with the weather too….water out front and a lovely breeze most of the time. We brought food in and enjoyed fresh fish and relaxing times. We slept well with nearly all the windows open for the night air. The tide came in and we kayaked a little out front. "The cottage is secluded with plenty of wildlife and amazing scenery. We were visited by fox, deer and hummingbirds!The kitchen is well appointed and beds are comfortable. Our host was very responsive to questions before and during our stay.The short walk to the shore leads to a rocky beach with lovely views and awe inspiring sunsets.Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a place to relax and unwind. Make sure to stop for provisions on the way to the cottage as the nearest grocery...

"My family and I stayed in this beautiful home. Such a nice neighborhood, property was clean and well cared for, and the home was accommodating, clean and all around great. The family loved the ping pong table as well. Wish we took more photos of our stay at the vacation home. "

Having spent my summers on the Bras d’Or lake as a child I knew what I was getting with regards to lake (it is clear, warmer than the ocean, salt water —perfect to me!), but this was my first stay at Lakeside Luxury.
