Just a few steps from your humble abode, you'll find the pristine sandy shores of the Gulf of Mexico where you can dip your feet in the waters, take a nap under the shade of an umbrella, or read a good book as you relax in the sun. The Gulf Range is a short drive away, where you and the family can enjoy a couple of games of mini-golfing or eat at its saloon that serves tasty food all day long.

After you're done exploring the beautiful coast, return back to your vacation rental to find a spacious main living area set up with comfortable tawny couches for you and your guests to rest on after a fun-filled day, a full kitchen equipped with stainless steel appliances, and a balcony with a breathtaking view of the waters out on the horizon. Take a quick power nap in the sun in the home's hammock or watch the sun slip under the ocean as the clouds overhead shift from its gorgeous orange hue to nighttime. Be sure to bring a couple of drinks with you and talk until the late hours of the evening with your friends. This'll be one trip you won't forget anytime soon!

Great location but could be better

Overall, the house was in a great location, and the area was quiet and enjoyable, but I was really disappointed with some key issues. The keyless entry didn’t work, which was frustrating. The sheets, blankets, and towels had visible stains, and there was hair on the beds, which made the place feel unclean despite the rest of the house being clean. The house itself needs some love and care, and could use some fixing in places. Otherwise, it’s a good place and very close to the beach!

Steps from the ocean

The location can't be beat. The listing is an accurate representation of the house. There is an ant problem by the front door and there was a dead roach in one of the bathrooms. Upon arrival, the countertop ice machine was disgustig with corn kernals in it. One of the couches had glitter all over it and there was a dirty spongue in the kitchen sink. The property is stocked with beach items (chairs, sand toys, life jackets), hammock, and games. They do not provide any paper towels and only one kitchen trash bag. Kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, and utensils. They provide one packet of laundry soap and two packets of dishwasher soap.

the house needs some TLC, down stairs shower needs to be replaced. the picnic table needs to be replaced, a/c needs to be served. some of the blinds need to be replaced. it just needs some TLC. everything else was great, all

Great location, nicely furnished, everything seems very new. Loved the hammock on the porch listening to the waves. Only complaint is that the keyless entry didn't work and we were not given a key, so we could not lock the house when we were away. A small table on the porch would be nice to hold cups while sitting in the rockers.

Wonderful

Gem of Gilchrist

The location and the property were amazing. Check in process was disappointing. The keyless entry was not working and apparently has been malfunctioning for a few months. The property does not have a 2 full bathrooms, only 1 full bath and a half bathroom. Management Co needs to update their listing and the WiFi information. They need to provide the actual local network name, not the service provider. Luckily, we were smart enough to figure it out by process of elimination since there are only 2 homes in that location.
