"The wife and I spent a few days in southern Illinois, hiking, herping, bird-watching, generally just getting away from work and the daily grind, and this place was a great stay. We weren't in the house very much, coming back in late afternoon after being out all day, but it's a great place for privacy and quiet. Very relaxing.The host offered quite simply the single greatest communication I've ever had from a cabin rental... he would get back to us with answers to our questions within minutes....

There was also a bug in the refrigerator and on the floor by the refrigerator and then another bug by the garbage can and there was dog food from previous people that wasn’t picked up also thought it was ridiculous at 830 in the morning there was a mowing crew outside that was woken up to on my vacation and I took pictures of it "

"Pretty nice stay overall. Location's clean and quiet. Deer and peacocks around if you like those. Hard to get lost. Only 5 miles off from stores if you need to pick something up. Negatives: I'm short and had a hard time reaching things, so I had to buy a stool (that's a me problem, I realize). The wi-fi never worked so I had to rely on mobile data (TV streamed through satellite so that was fine). Dealt with a lot of spiders and flies. Didn't try the hot tub because two wasps were hanging around...
