"We loved the quirky "olden day" cabins and yet they were so beautiful and classy inside. For staying in a cabin where we had to use the shared kitchen and bathrooms, I was nervous about the cleanliness and I was amazed at how clean everything was. Everything was easy to use, no confusion. Our kettle didnt want to open in our cabin and it was quickly replaced by another. Lovely playground and tennis courts basically on the premises and easy short walk to the main street through Greytown!...

"Everything was thoughtfully equipped and prepared. The historic cottage was clean, dry and warm and had that little "extra" which made it truly special. Many thanks to the hosts for a lovely stay. Well worth it."

"It was the perfect house for us. I stayed there with my three school-age grandkids. There were lots of games, activities and bikes etc for them and plenty of room to spread out. We initially had a problem with the TV but the owner, who lives nearby, promptly came and fixed it. Great Service!!"

"This is a beautiful home which unfortunately is not being as well maintained as it should be. In spite of that we had a lovely time and enjoyed the peace and serenity. The grounds are lovely and the pool looked great. Just a shame the weather wasn’t better for us to enjoy. This would be an ideal place to host a family get together with plenty of room for the grandkids too. Definitely good value for money."

"We loved our stay in the cozy garden cottage. Theresa provided everything we needed, and even had the bed warmed and toasty for our nighttime arrival. This is the perfect spot for a couple spending time in the Greytown area. "

"The location is great and it is lovely to find a place that allows pets to stay. The fire was excellent and kept the cabin lovely and warm. Lovely pool but we didn't make use of it due to the weather.Unfortunately, this place was let down by the cleaning. It was OK, but needed a good vacuum and the bathroom bin had not been emptied. There were a few other smaller issues that were easily fixed."

"Great place to stay. Loved having a well equipped kitchen with living area and a seperate bedroom. Excellent and responsive communication. Would happily book again ."

"The house is lovely, so lovely in fact that I wouldn't mind living in it permanently as the layout suited our family so perfectly. The first night was very windy, which did make sleeping difficult, but that would have been the case with any house in an open field in that wind. The location was also ideal - close enough to shops and restaurants, but rural enough to feel like a real breakaway from city life. The only thing I would have changed is to maybe have one or two of the wardrobes unlocked...

"remote and private authentic european styled stone cottage, reminiscent of centuries old, once off main roads only about 6 km of single lane unsealed road, easily driven."

"This is a very comfortable home in a quiet location close to Greytown’s lovely shops. We found the cigarette smell at the entrance a little off putting but inside was clean and tidy and we enjoyed our stay, it had everything we needed, the beds were comfortable and the shower was hot. We would happily stay there again."

"A stunning location in the Ōtaki bush. A simple yet serene home great for a couple of nights stay. The outdoor bath is spectacular and a real treat. "

"Like a doc hut, host drove us in an ATV front the road end to the hut. River nearby and lots of beautiful bush to explore. "

"We had everything we wanted. Very spacious house. Property manager was very helpful. It was a perfect holiday. "

"Totally enjoyable and relaxing. Loved the open fire and spa under the stars. If my car boot was bigger I may have tried to relocate the windmill ;-)We would love to return over the Summer months. I note the listing indicates 3 bathrooms, however there is only 2."
