"This property was perfect to accommodate our family of ten for 3 days of floating the river, fishing and swimming. The home was spacious and well appointed. It had everything we needed for large family dinners and the beds were clean and comfortable. Next year we’ll return for sure. "

"The host was very friendly and this spot was perfect for us for the night. Quiet and close to the event we were in town to see. It was hot but had hookups so we enjoyed the AC in our camper until it cooled down enough to open up windows. Such a lovely little town. We'll be back next year!"

"This is a very nice accommodation for a short stay especially. It is very small, and downstairs with no bore to outside. The back yard though with flower garden and chickens is delightful. Inside, it is one of the cleanest we have been in. And thoughtfully furnished. The kitchen is pretty spacious considering th overall amount of space, and supplied with more than adequate dishes, cutlery, kitchen tools, even dog food and water dishes. "When we pulled up to Shady Rest we thought, "okay.." But when we got inside, we were blown away, because for the price of a hotel room we had an entire house! John, the owner, greeted us and we got to know each other a little bit He was friendly and made sure we lacked nothing. John even offered us plums and/or apples from his fruit trees. "If you like quiet and comfort, then this is a place for you. There are stores close enough by to where you can get anything you need or maybe go have dinner. It’s a very cozy cabin that is perfect for any couple. Megan was the most gracious host and always available if we needed her which we did not. I highly recommend staying with Megan at her cozy cabin in Haugan Montana. "

"The cabin was very cozy, it was clean, and had all we needed to have a comfortable, relaxing stay. I wish we could’ve stayed more than one night because it was so peaceful, and I wanted to enjoy the cabin a little longer.
