Great short stay break

Could not fault the accomodation. Nice touch with bread, eggs,bacon supplied. Very clean, well fitted out and in a fabulous location. Comfy beds and good sized rooms. Lots of wildlife on the doorstep and lovely patio area to enjoy . Unfortunately the weather stopped us doing that! Definitely recommend

Lovely house and location

We stayed with another 2 couples for a week. The house was very well looked after, clean and well presented. We loved the stunning view from the windows in the sitting room and the lovely garden. There is a well looked after gas bbq which we used as the weather was great. Plenty spaces for parking. The house is located quite high up the hill with quite a steep walk back up from Grandtully which may be difficult if you’re not too fit, so a car drive back up would be easier. Could do with another fridge to chill drinks etc. but would not put us off by any means. There are a couple of bars/restaurants in Grandtully and would recommend the Inn on The Tay to eat as it also has a nice outside sitting area looking on to the river rapids. All in all, a beautiful place to stay and chill. We would definitely come back.

Perfect Everything

The property was perfect with everything you could possibly want. The location is wonderful and the scenery breathtaking. I cannot recommend this property enough and will definitely book again when we come back to Scotland.

Great holiday home.

Great holiday home in an amazing place. Red squirrels, hares, pheasants and red legged partridges in the garden kept us all on watch and beautiful starry night skies. The property was amazing and very spacious.

Fantastisch!!

Een prachtig huis, tot in de details afgewerkt en werkelijk overal is aan gedacht. Het uitzicht is adembenemend, fazanten, patrijzen en eekhoorns lopen door de tuin. De omgeving is nog mooier en er is genoeg te doen. Het huis zelf is de eerste keer niet heel makkelijk te vinden, maar wij kwamen aan in het donker. Eenmaal bekend, dan is het zeer gemakkelijk. Een aanrader!!

Scottish Perfection

Well-appointed property with great views of the highlands. It is well located for day driving trips to many of Scotland's iconic sites, as well as local interests for more relaxing days. Our host, Stewart could not have been more responsive to any of our questions or needs. He even came to the rescue -- power saw in hand -- to clear a fallen tree from the driveway one morning on our way out. "The Bothy" is the perfect place to stay to compliment the attractions of Scotland. John, Liz, Bob & Judy

Idyllic retreat in beautiful Tayside.

Spacious and harmonious stone buildings set on hillside with breathtaking views of the Tay velley and mountains in the distance. Red squirrels busied themselves in the garden, while hares quietly nibbled amongst the startled pheasants. Hawks spiralled overhead. We left our comfortable bothy each day to walk in Glen Lyon, Aberfeldy, along the Tay and around Pitlochry and Dunkeld. A peaceful and refreshing place.

Great property and facilities with a thoughtful welcome pack, comfy beds for a good nights sleep and a lovely location, with pheasants and red squirrels visiting the garden. Really enjoyed our stay and will return in the future

Wunderbarer Aufenthalt

Wir sind sehr herzlich von Steward aufgenommen worden und schon zur Begrüßung standen einige Überraschungen bereit. Die Unterkunft ist sehr geräumig und wir konnten unsere Zeit hier sehr genießen. Besonders toll ist, dass zu jeder Tageszeit ringsum viele Tiere beobachtet werden können. Einrichtung und Sauberkeit war sehr gut. Es gibt zahlreiche Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Nähe und natürlich viel Natur. Der Tag ist eine sehr schöne Gegend. Unbedingt auch den Highland Chocolatier besuchen.

We all deserve a treat!

To find this location needs the detailed instructions provided by our host. But we were rewarded on our arrival with the sight of a Red Squirrel and Hare sitting in our garden. Inside we enjoyed accommodation finished and presented to a high standard. The view from our windows were wonderful. Overall our stay was a weeklong treat. Liz, Eliz and Richard

Idyllic setting in the Scottish countryside.....

No words can completely describe the stunning accommodations of this property. Nestled among the rolling hills with stunning views of the highlands.....sheep grazing on the lush green pastures....country roads bordered by ancient stone walls....it was a fairytale location. Close to many beautiful towns and areas to explore....Very kind, pleasant hosts ....every need met within the home....and welcome breakfast treats waiting for the next day for the weary traveler. I would go back again and again. Highly recommended.

Hidden gem with spectacular views and prestine cleanliness

The gem of a cottage surpassed our expectations. The stunning views were even better in reality than the website photos. Impeccably clean throughout. The welcome pack was an ice touch, and the sight of red squirrels and rabbits added charm. A tranquil retreat, this cottage offers a wonderful slice of beautiful Scotland. I can't wait to return.

Eine Unterkunft gesucht, eine Heimat gefunden.

Wir haben für unsere Schottland Reise eine Unterkunft als Basis für unsere Touren gesucht, und mit dem Ballinduin eine echte Heimat gefunden. Das liebevoll eingerichtete Haus hat alle unsere Erwartungen übertroffen und Liz und Stewart waren großartige Gastgeber. Nach mal längeren oder kürzeren Tagestouren zu den im Umkreis ausgewählten „Must Sees“ war es einfach großartig gemeinsam am großen Esstisch zu sitzen, den Tag gemütlich ausklingen zu lassen und dabei die Rothühner, Fasane, Eichhörnchen und Feldhasen zu beobachten die regelmäßig bei uns vorbeigeschaut haben. Übertroffen wurde das Schaulaufen der Tiere nur noch von dem atemberaubenden Blick vom Wohnzimmer aus über das Tal des River Tay zu den Hügeln auf der gegenüber liegenden Seite. Das Ballinduin ist eine absolute Empfehlung!!!

An extraordinary property

The property was well kept, charming, relaxing, well appointed, and had a beautiful view. In our three weeks traveling through Scotland, this was by far our favorite stay. Communication with Stewart was easy and responsive. Definitely recommend.

Country Paradise

What a welcoming, meticulous, and comfortable cottage! My family enjoyed every minute of our stay...my two teen grandsons, my daughter and her husband, and I felt right at home. Stewart and Liz greeted us warmly and supplied all the fixings for delicious breakfasts, especially the huge loaf of tasty bread and fresh eggs. With pheasants, rabbits and red squirrels in abundance, we delighted in seeing them daily. This is a beautiful cottage situated in a gorgeous location...a Scottish paradise!
