"We loved the quirky "olden day" cabins and yet they were so beautiful and classy inside. For staying in a cabin where we had to use the shared kitchen and bathrooms, I was nervous about the cleanliness and I was amazed at how clean everything was. Everything was easy to use, no confusion. Our kettle didnt want to open in our cabin and it was quickly replaced by another. Lovely playground and tennis courts basically on the premises and easy short walk to the main street through Greytown!...

"Beautiful home surrounded by nature. Great communication with host. Although it seems isolated, there are neighbors within close proximity therefore must keep music to a minimal. Otherwise great for a quiet getaway."

"The room was ideal and a good size for a family of 4. We didn’t realise that the only parking available was in the main street of Kilbirnie where it is located. It was a bit noisey at night from the extractor fans from the bar’s kitchen below right outside our window. Apart from that, it all went smoothly. Thanks"

"Lovely large house in nice rural setting. Good heating ensured it was warm. Kitchen very well supplied with utensils etc. Very clean. Only negative feedback relates to the quality and supply of the linen we paid extra for. We had to make the beds, and linen was not overly good quality and bit limited (1towel each & no flannels). Also the “5th bedroom” is bit misleading as is a pull out couch in the kitchen. Fine for family but not appropriate for our arrangement where separate bedrooms were...

"Everything was thoughtfully equipped and prepared. The historic cottage was clean, dry and warm and had that little "extra" which made it truly special. Many thanks to the hosts for a lovely stay. Well worth it."

"As a group of 6 women we enjoyed the stay and amenities. The bedroom layout was suited to us well. 2 bedrooms and bathrooms at each end of house with living in between."

"We loved our stay and wish it could have been longer. The house is gorgeous, new and beautifully styled (we all admired the colour scheme) with lovely touches like blankets for sitting outside while we watched the sun rise. The kitchen is well equipped, the beds comfortable, the fireplace a lovely spot to unwind in front of and the view absolutely stunning. Thank you Rhonda, it was the perfect place for a last girls' weekend away."

"It was the perfect house for us. I stayed there with my three school-age grandkids. There were lots of games, activities and bikes etc for them and plenty of room to spread out. We initially had a problem with the TV but the owner, who lives nearby, promptly came and fixed it. Great Service!!"

"We loved Martinborough and the surrounding area, it looked especially beautiful in all the autumn colours but found the cottage very cold, especially when we first arrived. Perhaps it would be a nice gesture for guests arriving in the cooler months for the host to turn on the heaters before the guests arrive to take some of the chill off the air. It took a long time for the cottage to warm up the first day but once it did with the fire going we were much happier."

"The location is great and it is lovely to find a place that allows pets to stay. The fire was excellent and kept the cabin lovely and warm. Lovely pool but we didn't make use of it due to the weather.Unfortunately, this place was let down by the cleaning. It was OK, but needed a good vacuum and the bathroom bin had not been emptied. There were a few other smaller issues that were easily fixed."

"This place was amazing! We had been quite busy travelling around and seeing the sights of NZ and really needed a little time to recharge and relax and this was the perfect place to do it! Such a pretty cottage with everything we needed. Loved sitting outside listening to the birds and enjoying the seclusion. Great place and the host was so helpful and considerate. Would heartily recommend. "
