"This is a great place in the forest about 25 minutes to some popular beaches. We loved exploring the area. The cabin was super clean and comfortable and the deck area is beautiful to have coffee while listening to the howley monkeys. The pool area is nicely set up for photo opps. The cherry on top is that they're pet friendly. We will stay again. "

"Las Catalinas es un lugar único ! Me encanta que sea un pueblito lleno de rincones por explorar … Los jardines los tienen preciosos! Super cómodo que la playa esté en frente y el beach club también es increíble … Amo los trials para caminar o andar en bicicleta ! La playa es preciosa y muy rica para nadar . "It is a short distance from the beach where we surfed the entire 5 days of our stay there and all the shops and restaurants in Tamarindo. Price of food at restaurants was extremely overpriced and I appreciated that the apartment has all the basics to cook a meal. AC worked great, nice small but clean pool. Also had parking available and staff was very accommodating. I hated the noisy metal framed stairs to the loft and we can hear the next door "neighbors" go up and down plus their voices...

"Beautiful property and the concierge was extremely helpful! The only thing I’ll say is be prepared to drive. Nothing is really walkable but great stay regardless. "

"Las Velas Blancas is an amazing gem nestled in Playa Grande! Our group had never been to this part of Costa Rica and the accommodations and location suited us perfectly. The cabanas are close to the surf and the waves were perfect for both beginners and advanced surfers in our group alike. The property manager Sher was an excellent communicator both before and during our stay. "We had wonderful week!!! Everything was easy from questions during booking and pre-trip to check in and out. Jairo, the concierge for the home, took great care of our four families. Johanna and Wendy cooked us delicious breakfast daily and were so cute with the baby of our group. "We celebrated my wifes 70th birthday here with friends and family, 15 in all. The positives: The house is lovely.. Beds were comfortable. The wildlife around the house was spectacular. The howler monkees would traipse through the trees in view of the pool area. The iguana ? and birds were also fascinating. The swimming pool was great, although overchlorinated to the point of bleaching hats etc. The golf carts were great to have. The negative: Communication with the owners/managers was horrible....

"This was our first time visiting Costa Rica and we were very happy with our choice of accommodations! The home is beautiful, peaceful, and fairly close to amenities. It was perfect for our group of three couples - with everyone having a master suite. The home is well-equipped with everything you need for a week of relaxation.
