"The hotel is lovely, in a traditional courtyard-style house. It is beside the north gate, just inside the ancient town, so the location is great. Alice was fantastic, collected us from the train station and gave us lots of tips on places to visit and eat. We had a great two-night stay, highly recommended!"

"Cuando llegamos nos atendio una señora muy amable, pero que hablaba solo en chino, a pesar de eso llamo al hijo que hablaba muy poco ingles, pero necesitabamos coordinar un taxi para ir al otro dia a la estacion de tren, logramos coordinarlo mediante traductor. Eso fue lo mas complicado, el resto del hotel esta muy bien, la habitacion era confortable, tenian losa radiante y calefaccion electrica por si van en invierno, teniamos todo lo que necesitabamos para la hanitacion, muy limpio todo, el...

"Located on a quiet street 5mins from the main “thoroughfares” of the old Pingyao, this gem of a hotel is like stepping into history. The courtyards and rooms look like the must have been hundreds of years ago. Rooms are very clean and discreetly fitted with modern amenities; no plastic decorations! Staff speak passable to good English."

Al día siguiente el desayuno no empezaba hasta las 7:30 y nosotos teníamos que irnos a las 7 y la dueña nos adelantó el desayuno a las 6:40 para que pudiéramos tomarlo.
Si tendría que volver no dudaría en coger el mismo hotel."

Breakfast was not huge but very tasty and accommodated a few things for us.
The staff was super friendly and some of them spoke good English.

"Wonderful hotel set in an ancient mansion. Staff were helpful and friendly and focused on improving the guest experience. Wonderful breakfast whether you ordered Western or Chinese. We ate the special set menu dinner. Definitely the best restaurant in Pingyao. Staff had a proficient level of English which enabled us to have a better experience visiting the historical sights in the walled city. Our two night stay was a five star experience."
