Cabin Unit 4/ Shady Oaks is one cabin in a 4 unit building. It is off to itself for a private feel but also if coming with friends close enough for every one to gather round the fire pits and grills. Shady Oaks Cabin is an open concept with main bedroom with handmade full bed with loft with 2 twin beds overlooking also a futon that makes into a bed. Has a mini kitchen with microwave/toaster/coffee pot/utensils. Deck with access to outdoor fire pits and grills. Full bath and shower. Unit has heat and air that you may set to your comfort. Fast & Free wifi, Roku Tv. 🐶 Pet Friendly
Don’t leave your fur babies behind! Well behaved,
Housebroken dogs are welcome at our place.
Please add your dog to reservation. There is a $50 Pet Fee. You’re responsible for keeping your dog on leash when outdoors and clean up of dog poo.

  • This is sky bridge. The most massive arch in Red River. it spans over a hundred feet and about 50 feet in the air. Probably the most famous arch in Red River, it has been seen in movies. Many astro-photographers flock here because of it's structure and clear skyline. If you get a chance, the trail is only .8 miles and very much worth it. You first walk across the top of the arch, it is so big that you are halfway across before you notice your not just on a narrow rock path. then you circle around to be under the arch.

Great location for our wedding we had to attend in the area. Host got us through a wardrobe crisis. Fully stocked coffee accommodations, lots of restroom amenities. Cozy and clean. Great stay!!

Our host Becky was excellent in responding to my questions. The room was very charming, clean, and well-equipped. I didn’t know it beforehand, but there is an electric griddle and burners for use. Our only slight complaints were that the lighting wasn’t great and the tub didn’t have a drain stopper. Small things that wouldn’t affect our decision to stay here again. For the price, it can’t be beat!

We loved this cabin. It was perfect for my husband and I and plenty of room for our dogs and easy access for them to get to the grass. It was clean and cozy. We enjoyed having a bon fire while we were there. We definitely plan on coming back soon.

Hiking at the Gorge

My friend and I did a girl's trip to hike some of the trails and try some of the unique restaurants in the area. It was her first time at the Gorge and my 3rd or 4th. It's such a therapeutic getaway. The location of this property was perfect for this! I had trouble with the VRBO app, and the hosts were very prompt at responding when we couldn't access the code to get in when we got there. We truly had a great time. It was clean and had everything we needed for a weekend getaway. I personally appreciated that there was coffee, bottled water, and other amenities that would normally have to be packed. Pet friendly was also a HUGE plus. My boys also loved it. You couldn't tell that other animals may have been there! Would definitely stay again!

AMAZING!!

My family went on a weekend getaway to hike and explore natural bridge and red river gorge. The cabin had everything we needed and could ask for. Everything was perfect from the comfortable beds, to the amenities, and to the nice soaps/perfumes/lotions that the host so kindly left out for use. I highly recommend that anyone looking to explore the parks in the area should stay at one of hosts available places because they’re all equally wonderful! My family has got the opportunity to stay at two different cabins and I can say that they were both beautiful. I would definitely describe them as a home away from home and can’t wait until our next adventure when we get to return and have another wonderful stay!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The cabin was very clean and well maintained. We also appreciated so many of the thoughtful extras (e.g., homemade candy, Ale8 and bottles waters, nice soaps, etc.). The hosts we lovely as well and it was nice to be able to bring our dogs with us!

Perfect location

We came to the area to hike in the Red River Gorge area with our dogs. This cabin was located in a perfect area to easily access trails. The cabin was a described. Comfortable bed. No stove, but we may do with the provided hot plate, griddle and microwave.

Our Kentucky get away

The owners were more than accommodating. They were so nice and helpful with any questions and recommendations. The cabin was great! So clean and cozy. The whole family including our fur baby had a great time. It was relaxing and quiet. We would definitely stay again.
