This was a great place to stay on our cross-country trip. The cottage was spotless and extremely comfortable. Beautiful. countryside. The "grocery" story in Pilot is subpar but the relatively nearby town of Floyd is fantastic.

Pamela's cottage is a very sweet find for us travelers, especially those of us with dogs. The cottage is situated in a very hilly rural area with lovely views and a big open yard (with respect paid to the boundary fences). There is a convenient Exxon gas station with a grocery and a post office about a mile or so away. It's a direct (and curvy) ride straight into Christiansburg, which was my destination over four days. The cottage itself is wonderful! Very clean, beautifully designed with high ceilings and huge windows all around (but still feels very private), with a small front porch and back deck (with grill). It has a friendly elegance to it and it's very well kept. The couches are big and comfortable, the small kitchen, which opens to the LR, has everything you need. The bedroom is also open to the living space and provides a lovely view out to the back yard. The bed is super comfortable with soft sheets and a lovely heavy comforter. The bathroom has plenty of light and towels. I arrived after a two week snowy deep freeze and the pipes became frozen. Pam and her husband worked diligently to attend to them before my arrival, communicating throughout, and I finally arrived to find plenty of ice cold and piping hot water. They have created a cozy, comfortable, beautiful space and I couldn't have been more thankful to have made this my stay throughout my time in VA. Highly recommend (but save some dates for me!)

Great place to stay with a dog - it has a huge yard for playing, wood floors and the games/toys are neatly tucked away so you don't have to worry about your dog chewing them.

The cottage is very cute, cozy and clean.While it is located in a very idyllic setting, it is a little removed from amenities like stores and restaurants.That being said, we still enjoyed our stay and would stay there again. Our dog definitely loved it, too!

Immaculate and well appointed! The house was spotless when we arrived and outfitted with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The hosts communicated well prior to our stay and made everything easy. Our days were spent hunting waterfalls in the area and our evenings were focused on relaxing to prepare for more full days.

Lovely place to stay near Blacksburg a short 20 minute drive. We brought our dogs and ourselves down to move my brother-in-law and it was perfect. The space is beautiful and the bed is very comfortable.

Peaceful Getaway

This property is beautiful and a perfect place to relax in the country. It is close enough to many amenities in Floyd and Christiansburg but far enough away that it is quiet. My beagle loved the large yard and the horses nearby. The owner is responsive and kind which makes it an even better experience. Highly recommend!
