"We enjoyed our 4 night visit at The Cabin at Alta Vista. The cabin is a relaxing home away from home. There are so many personal touches the owners leave for their guests. The sunroom was our favorite place to hang as a family and work puzzles and play board games. "This cabin exceeded my expectations! If I had known how tranquil and beautiful the surroundings were we would have stayed a whole week! My husband and two 17 year old boys enjoyed the place. We were able to swim and fish in the lake. It was so nice to sit outside with the rustling of the leaves, sound of the cicadas and birds. The sauna and hot tub were nice. "If I could give more stars I would. What a beautiful home. Extremely clean and tastefully decorated. We enjoyed the turntable, hot tub, and extremely well equipped kitchen. A large fire pit, an outside dome to star gaze, comfortable deck out back with a grill, and plenty rockers on the front porch. "The cabin was clean, the view of the Forrest was nice and we enjoyed the hot tub especially since it rained for our entire stay. The things to keep in mind when staying here...there was no place to hang any clothes. None of the closets had hangers. There were drawers. I had my 89 year old mother with me and she couldn't use the shower because it was a tub, with no grab handles. She didn't feel safe climbing over the tub and stepping on a slippery surface. There was no salt, pepper, coffee etc....
