Welcome to the Granite Moose Hideaway—your tranquil mountain cabin retreat where modern comfort meets peaceful seclusion. This beautifully decorated 600 sq ft guest cabin is ideal for couples or small families seeking a relaxing escape to ski, hike, or unwind. Featuring a king bed in the master, two queen beds in the loft (note: 4-foot ceilings), and a private hot tub, it’s the perfect base for adventure or rest. Winter: roads are plowed; 4WD/AWD recommended for snow/ice.

Escape to Granite Moose Hideaway, nestled on 15 acres of serene forested land in the charming rural town of Philipsburg, Montana. Enjoy complete privacy during your stay, while being just a short 7-minute drive from downtown Philipsburg. Explore a variety of local attractions, including unique restaurants, cozy coffee shops, boutique shopping, live music and craft beer at Philipsburg Brewing Co., The Sweet Palace, gem mining, fascinating museums, and the historic Philipsburg Theatre.

The surrounding area offers endless adventures: hike scenic trails, cast your line in Rock Creek for world-class fly fishing, hit the slopes at Discovery Ski Mountain for skiing or snowboarding or check out downhill biking in the summer, navigate 4-wheeling trails, or enjoy boating on stunning Georgetown Lake. Granite Moose Hideaway is your gateway to relaxation and exploration in Montana's breathtaking wilderness.

Guests have access to all areas of the property including the hiking path around the property. We do ask the you please be bear aware and treat the forest with respect while hiking.

During your stay, the entire property is exclusively yours to enjoy, providing utmost privacy and serenity. Please be aware that this cabin is only 600 square feet and can only accommodate small groups of 5 or less.

Your own vehicle is necessary for getting to the property and for exploring Philipsburg. There are no taxis or driving services available in the area. It is highly recommended that you have a 4 wheel drive vehicle in the winter months, Montana weather is unpredictable and the roads can become icy or covered in snow. The road to the cabin is regularly plowed.

We had such a wonderful stay at the Granite Moose Hideaway. The location is stunning, tucked away in a remote but accessible location nearby the picturesque town of Phillipsburg. The facilities in the lodge are exceptional, we used the outdoor grill and spa, and walked the trail around the property too. Our hosts were on hand for anything we needed (we didn't need for anything tho!), and provided clear instructions on how to get to and access the lodge. The lodge was well stocked with linen and kitchen equipment - we did a grocery shop before ariving so we had everything we needed for our stay. Thank you for making this such a brilliant & memorable vacation, we'd highly recommend to others and will do our best to come back....all the way from the UK!!!

This is one of the best VRBOs we've stayed in. Super clean, simple, but stocked with everything we could have wanted and more. The setting is mind blowing and all the beds really comfy. Loved the hot tub on our full moon night. Highly reccomend!

Cute little spot in the woods. Knocked a star because the loft is literally a crawl space and the photos are a little deceiving IMO. Beds were super comfy and it had all the amenities we could have needed!

From check in to check out, the overall experience was terrific. Arriving at the cabin was so refreshing as it was better than advertised and the privacy was exactly what we needed. This was a sisters vacation to visit family. We had a great time and the cabin was very comfortable and clean. The hot tub was an awesome surprise and used each night. We would definitely come back and also recommend to others visiting Montana. Philipsburg is a nice little town to visit while in Montana. Thank you Shanna for all your help.

I booked this for my daughter and family. What a great "cabin in the woods" atmosphere to relax, but all the creature comforts at hand - stocked pantry and kitchen, internet, comfortable beds, hot shower, great hot tub. Host was responsive and helpful.

What a great spot. My family spent a long weekend at this cabin and had a great time. Very close to P-Burg yet you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. Very clean property that is well stocked. We were planning on heading into town more often, but honestly didn't want to leave the comfort of the cabin. Kids enjoyed the rope swing and exploring the property. Can't wait to head back and spend time at this gem. Thanks for a great stay!

Such a lovely little cabin in the woods. It was so peaceful and quiet. Very relaxing for a short get away. Quaint, but still provided all the modern comforts. Excellent wi-fi connection. Best part was sitting in the hot tub looking into the beautiful forest.
