This is a 2 story house with finished basement and newly renovated - 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms in 2nd floor and 1 Bedroom, Half bath, the living room, kitchen and Dining in the 1st floor & laundry room is on the basement level. Finished Basement can sleep additional people 1 Queen bed is located in the basement and Additional air bed will be provided as per early request( Additional charge will apply). Air bed will be provided upon request.

• Free street parking for your 5-10 cars.
Check-in can be flexible if it is vacant prior to guest arrival, or anytime after 3 pm (the building entrance equipped with keypad door lock to assist self-check-in)
*Please make sure while checking out, all the LIGHTS and FANS are off and all the water outlets and all doors are closed. Water Pressure will be very and change as per usage and depends on city water pressure. Guests must clean all dishes, appliances and all trash in the kitchen. Please keep in a trash bag, I remove all trash If lot trash please take it outside and keep it inside the next vacant property gate). Planning Too much cooking please bring cookware sets for your comfort, House providing only basic dishes.

Mice! Rodents! Vermin!

I find mice to be a dealbreaker! The fact the homeowner new it is upsetting. There were mouse traps in the kitchen upon arrival. We reported the mice to the owner and VBRO. Neither offered a refund or price adjustment. VBRO needed proof to even escalate the issue, photo or video. Ohhhh, ok let me talk to the mice and ask them to walk slower so we can take their picture. The neighborhood was trash trash trash, hence the mice. I’m totally over Philly and VBRO! City of trash, literally. The only nice thing I can say about that property is there was good water pressure and a tv in every room. Oh wait! After we reported mice to homeowner he claims he sent an exterminator. We come back from our conference to a lot more mouse traps and toxic pest fumes. We were GASSED! That night our eyes and nose and throat burning. Just a horrible trip. I would leave photos of the area but it doesn’t let you. Just Google the Neighborhood of Temple University.

Hidden gem

The neighborhood is very dirty and that makes you a little reluctant but the house is very clean inside. We had a water leak during our stay but it stopped. The property manager was very accessible and always responded in a timely manner during the whole process: before, during and after our stay. Great communication skills.

The best place I ever stayed at.

I liked this place. The house is so beautiful, the bathroom and the kitchen are the best. The owner is very professional and knows how to run this job. When you text him hell respond to you in the next few minutes. The house was clean, neat, and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the space which was enough for all 10 of us to fit. 4 queen beds in the basement, 2 bedrooms with 1 queen each, and one with twin queen beds. It was so good that we wanted to extend. The temperature is excellent. Highly recommend it. My group and I already started saving for the next trip to your house this coming summer.

Enjoyable stay in Philadelphia

The stay at this property over Thanksgiving was very nice! The place has updated appliances, hardwood floors, remodeled bathrooms, plenty of bedrooms and space to ensure all 15 of us were comfortable. It is ideally located near restaurants, shopping markets, museums and attractions that benefit all. On street parking was available all hours of the day. It was a pleasant experience and John the owner is very responsive to onsite inquiries.

Amazing Stay

The stay was very comfortable and spacious. The bathrooms were very up to date and luxurious. The location was right in the heart of the city and not to far from all the places I planned on visiting. I would make this place my choice to stay every time I come to Philly.

La location est bien rénovée et parfaite pour un grand groupe. La station Susquehanna Dauphin St est accessible à 800m pour se rendre au centre ville. Le côté très populaire du quartier peut être surprenant au premier abord, surtout lorsque l’on n’est pas prévenu. Toutefois tout s’est très bien passé et nous ne nous sommes jamais sentis en insécurité. Attention peu de commerces à proximité ; anticiper les courses.

It was a great experience to back in Philly! It was very spacious cor 8 of us with room to spare.It is a wonderful place to entertain a group! Kitchen is very spacious and loved the room that leads to the patio. The only I wish there was a grill and patio furniture! One of my best trips home! Will be booking again in June. Worst experience I have had with VRBO

Property was dirty inside and out. I wish I could post photos. The property had been recently renovated quite nicely but is located in a very run down and dilapidated part of the city. Property was described to have a fully equipped kitchen, but it had very little in the kitchen. I was charged extra to have 7 guests but there was no extra effort to occomodate 7 people even though listing says it sleeps 16. There wasn’t enough bedding provided to make up all the beds. I spoke to the owner and he was willing to refund the cleaning fee but nothing more because linens were listed as complimentary. After much back and forth he finally agreed to a 50% discount of the rental fee. After more than a week after check-out and still no sign that our deposit was returned or we were given the promised 50% discount of rental fee, I messaged the owner to inquire. He responded that it takes 5-10 business days to receive it. However, he had not even begun the process at the time of that correspondence. He only initiated it after he got my text message. I received a confirmation email about the refund from VRBO after my text conversation with the owner. The email stated we could expect our refund to show up within 5-7 business days after receiving the email. We saw that the owner did not refund 50% of the rental fee as promised, just 50% of the base rental fee which didn’t include the extra fees for having 7 guests. I contacted the owner about the inaccurate refund but he maintained that he had refunded what he had promised. I have booked many times with VRBO And have always had a great experience but this was awful! I would never stay here again nor recommend this property to anyone.

MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT/RIP OFF

My wife and I have been renting thru VRBO for 7 years+, this was the worst place we've ever rented - VRBO requires I give at least one star otherwise it would be none. Apparently none of the previous renters noticed that it is in the Hood/ghetto. The interior aesthetics are nice enough - nice floors, beautiful cabinets, new appliances and counters, the bathrooms are gorgeous and there are ceiling fans everywhere. The kitchen cabinets are mounted so high my 5'2" wife could barely reach the bottom shelves. There was a lack of cooking utensils - we had to purchase more and mixing bowls for salad and other items - along with a very basic set of pans. There were four sets of forks, knives and spoons - no extras. The counters required a cleaning before we used them the first time. The beds are just slightly softer than rocks, the ceiling fans seem to be on the same remote wavelength in the two back bedrooms upstairs so when one turns off the other turns on. There was no hallway nor stair lights even though the stairs are very steep. When the toilet flushes the shower quits working from lack of water pressure. The front porch light flickered to the point that we just turned it off. The back door leads to a small area with about 8 foot fences topped by razor wire similar to what's used in prisons. There appears to be a security system, but we were offered no information to use it. There were multiple light switches that turned nothing on and there was a complete lack of information on what to do with the garbage. I had to contact the owner to obtain entry info, because he didn't just send it. And the only time we heard from him is when he accused us of damages and wanted more money despite requiring us to purchase insurance and giving him a cash deposit, which he kept half of even though he could have made a claim against the mandatory insurance and we will now be contacting VRBO to discuss the matter as there was no damage done by us. Fortunately, I purchased the insurance rather than giving him an additional cash deposit that was the option other than insurance. I have no doubt I would not have received it back. I would neither recommend this location to anyone nor will I ever utilize this location in the future. ABSOLUTELY THE WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER RENTED!!!

A lot better than meets the eye

Although deceiving when arriving and not knowing what we got ourselves into the stay was great and John did everything he said he would and then some. Short trips to downtown Philly or anywhere in Philly for that matter. Very nicely set up to accommodate many guests but more so couples than individuals just the way the rooms and bedding are set up. All in all a great stay and would definitely go back if the need arises.
