    With a cozy front porch and a spacious deck, this two-story home offers plenty of space to relax outdoors. Fire up the gas grill and enjoy an afternoon cookout. A partially fenced backyard provides added privacy while you dine. There's more room to prepare meals in the home's well-equipped kitchen, which features a bar area with seating. The adjacent dining room offers extra space to share meals. Spend your mornings sipping coffee in the sitting area and end your days with a movie night on the living area's smart TV.



    The Space:

    Outdoor adventure awaits at nearby Red Jacket Park or Keuka Lake State Park, where you can hike scenic trails, fish in the open waters, or go for a refreshing swim. For winter enthusiasts, Bristol Mountain is less than 30 miles away and offers some of the best skiing in the area. Just a short walk to Main Street, and you'll be able to enjoy all the best restaurants and the brewery. Stop by one of the many nearby wineries for tastings and tours. Don't forget to check out the seasonal First Friday Farmer's Market and the big 4th of July fireworks display in Branchport.

This property was very well stocked! And, very clean. Also, a short walk into town and onto the canal path. We would definitely stay again if visiting the area in the future!

Comfort and Convenience

This house was perfectly located to explore Keuka and Seneca lakes. The house exceeded our expectations. The proximity to restaurants and stores in Penn Yan was an added bonus.

Five Stars

Spent the weekend for a wedding on Keuka. The house was well stocked and incredibly clean. The check in and out process was easy.

Comfy stay at the Written in the Stars house

Overall we had an awesome stay. It is an old house, although it was well maintained and partially renovated. We would like to compliment especially the kitchen which is nicely renovated and is well equipped. The house is clean and spacious. It is located within walking distance to Penn Yan downtown that offers a number of stores, restaurants, breweries and attractions. A backyard parking is conveniently available for guests. We will definitely recommend this house for families or groups of guest visiting Finger Lakes area, especially the Keuka Lake. The hosting company Vacasa is very welcoming, communicative and flexible. Also, we will suggest updating the lights in the dining room to have a brighter, more refreshing atmosphere. We dined in the kitchen simply because the light was much brighter there and the atmosphere was more cozy and comfy.

Wonderful!

This property offered us everything we needed. The home is conveniently located in Penn Yan. Walking distance to Morgan’s grocery. They have everything you need! The home was very clean. So many little extras provided. I will definitely book this property again without hesitation.

Nice large home

Clean, cozy, cute old home with lots of personality. Walking distance to shopping, dining. Close to several beaches on the lake. We stayed here for three days and loved the Gorge hike at Watkins Glen State Park(get there early on weekends to beat the crowds). It was 45 minutes from Palmyra and Fayette, LDS Church history sites and the drives were beautiful country drives. We'd definitely stay here again and next time, check out the waterfalls near Ithaca and do the Watkins Glen hike again.

Very Enjoyable

We were very impressed with the whole property. The house was well maintained for an older home. It was a good-sized, enough for four people and two dogs to feel comfortable and do our own thing. They had bedroom air conditioners on the second floor that helped cool the whole first floor during the day and evening. There's no dishwasher, so you'll need to wash dishes which didn't create any issues. The location is within walking distance of Main Street along with the restaurants and stores.

Convenient location. small improvements: large bowl for serving salads or other food; bedrooms could use furniture that you can set things on - chairs, small tables? bunk bed room had no reading lamp or bedside table. something to set suitcases on.

Perfect girls week away

The house was perfect. We were able to check in early. When we walked in it smelled fresh and clean. Had everything we needed for a week away. Location was walking distance from shops and restaurants. Plenty of space in the house. The only thing I would suggest is changing out the handles on the drawers in the kitchen. We kept catching them and went home with some bruises. Other than that it was awesome!! Would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

Penn Yan Easter

This home was clean and close to town which was wonderful. It allowed dogs so we could have our pets with us. We did not realize that it did not have cable and when I sent a question I only got a robotic answer. It was not answered to the home we stayed in. I feel the added fees are over the top. When I look for a place to stay I do expect taxes and cleaning expenses but our cost was almost double the price of the rent. Way too much!

Clean n comfy

House was very clean, beds comfy, all the amenities you might need, however tent tiny soap, shampoo and conditioner, close to town with restaurants and shops. Locking system took 6 tries to get to work, every time. Tv system not so great. Three remotes to try to juggle to see which one worked with what. The Roku remote arrow buttons did not work well, sometimes not at all
