"Lovely old pub. Comfortable room with everything supplied. Nicely decorated. Not spotlessly clean, but it was dog friendly. Friendly, helpful staff. Great base to come back to after walking. Easy walk into Hawes. Good atmosphere for an enjoyable drink or food. Open fires were lit and so relaxing to sit by. Good breakfast with excellent service. We are already thinking about a return visit. "

Although it is now under new management, it's clear that the lovely, friendly, warm welcoming atmosphere is something the staff are keen to retain. All the staff were so kind and accommodating, and the food was delicious and generous portions. Only place open for dinner in the evening so be sure to reserve! Highly highly recommend. "
