"We wanted to get away from the city and into nature and boy did we! Words can’t describe how much fun we had exploring the 200 acres of forest! Lakes, ponds, paths, and sooooo many deer! Our son woke up early every morning to feed the deer - when we left, he knew their names….the owners were beyond accommodating! "

"This home was neat, organized, and clean. It has a fully stocked kitchen, we brought food for the oven and also grilled. Coffee every morning was perfect on the deck. Our two dogs love the fenced side yard which made it easy. There were a couple of rain showers which we enjoyed listening to under the tin roof. We are looking forward to returning to this property again!! Highly recommend! "

"It was a perfect place for my daughter, the bride, to prepare for her big day with her bridal party. We got some great photos of her beautiful dress on the back porch with the woods in the background!"

"We had a great time. Beautiful place and views. Crabs weren’t running but we still had fun trying to catch them. Owner is very quick to respond with any and all questions or concerns. "

"I echo all the 10/10 reviews. We too brought our e-bikes and took several wonderful rides around old Mandeville. The bike trails are the best I’ve ridden. Lake Pontchartrain shoreline is a short stroll away, and there are many nearby eateries and watering holes to experience. The cottage is awesome. The photos in the listing don’t do it justice. It was perfect for our stay."

"Place was just as the pictures nice and clean very homey only problem toilets flushed just took a few tries but went down loved the fact we could just walk in the back and fish was great my husband loved it. We didn't catch alot of fish maybe we were fishing with the wrong bait but it was nice and peaceful even though it was very windy. Overall we would love to come back. a lot of fish but maybe wewalkin in the back and fish "

"The house was nice, good location, easy check in/out. My only complaint is that the water from the pipes had a bit of a smell to it (the faucets and the shower). Other than that everything was as advertised. Great for our Mardi Gras trip. "

"We absolutely love this cute little house on the water. The view and being on the water every morning is so amazing. We loved sitting outside every morning waking up and drinking our coffee. It was nice having access to the water and being able to take our boat out. Nearby there is also the beach and we would go and sit on the beach too. Bay St Louis had a lot of restaurants to choose from and we also got to go see Pass Christian as well. It was nice sightseeing that area. They have a lot to do...

"Great scenic location on Lake Pontchartrain, Slidell was a pleasant surprise to us out of towners, would have considered spending more time in town of we didn’t have such a packed weekend. Not too bad of a drive into New Orleans, but if using ride/share car service just know to look ahead at pricing and budget accordingly.Very spacious, great kitchen amenities and a nice pool. Sleeps 22 but do take note there are 12 beds. Bring your own soap to shower but over all very nice place and good...
