Rim Country Living in the heart of Arizona

Country house, on a fourth of an acre, with large deck and garage. Very near to the geographic center of Arizona, enjoy the very private, elegance of this country home nestled among trees in the quiet woods while only minutes from downtown Payson. Payson, with its population about 15,000, has quaint small town appeal with it natural beauty and wildlife surroundings. The home’s large deck is a great place to spend as much of the day as you want relaxing in either shade or sun amongst the pine trees and local birds. It’s a wonderful place to barbeque and enjoy outside dining on the deck as well.
This special retreat is only 30 miles from the stunning Mogollon Rim. The hiking and fishing are outstanding in this forested area abounding with lakes, streams, and magnificent mountain views. Woods Canyon and Willow Lakes a very short drive away as well as fabulous views from top of the Mogollon Rim. Visits to the fish hatchery are fun and interesting too. Or, you can enjoy the amenities in Payson and surrounding little communities, with their antiques, museums, restaurants, shopping and golf. If you’re into gambling, the Tonto Apache Tribe provide the Mazatzal Casino within a few minutes’ drive from this special retreat. It's a short walk to the city park and pool.
Bring the kids and enjoy time in Payson, Arizona and its surrounding beauty with an abundance of things “to do or not”. If sitting on the deck, reading a book sounds good it's a peaceful experience.

Peaceful, large wooded property

Really enjoyed the patio, it being half covered and the other open. The heavily wooded property was a huge plus, part of the Payson experience. The home is comfortable, more than adequate supplies to cook with. The beds were comfortable as well. Parking worked well.

Nicely secluded home in Payso

This was a nicely secluded home in Payson, conveniently located close to shopping and restaurants. The master bedroom and bath had been upgraded. The back deck was exceptional. The host was awesome and ready to help with anything that was needed. My family enjoyed there time here.

Excellent family weekend.

Very clean, very comfortable and loved loved loved the front deck. We spent a lot of our time just swinging and rocking and enjoying each others company. Took the grandkids fishing at Bear Canyon Lake and Green Valley. Hung hammocks between the trees. Beds were extremely comfortable. Will definitely stay here again!

Wonderful and cozy!

The house is an amazing place to stay at! Everything looked exactly like the photos posted, and the place was very clean. Jackie, our host, responded very quickly to any questions, and was very kind. The whole process of booking, checking in, and checking out was very easy to follow.

Wonderful Place

We were so pleased with this home. It was so welcoming. Very clean and comfortable. Really enjoyed the year books from the 40's and 50's very nostalgic. The bed was extremely comfortable for us and the shower was beautiful. I would recommend this house for a nice pleasant stay.

Gorgeous place to stay

This property was beautiful. We got to see wild elk right behind us. The neighbors were friendly. You’re pretty much a mile away from everything so it was easy to find anything we needed to go get. Personally, I enjoyed all the history in the house. I loved that they kept the house a personal homey like feeling with all the pictures of their family and stuff they used to do. If we ever go to Payson again, I will most likely be staying there if it is available. Thank you for letting us enjoy ourselves in your beautiful home.

Excellent Home Base

Our family amd close friends shared this house as a home retreat for a long baseball filled tournament weekend. It was immaculately clean and peaceful and seeved us well as we relaxed and celebrated between games.

Good Location and Nice House

Stay for two nights with family trip to Woods Canyon Lake. Enjoyed the trip and the stay. The house is clean and very comfortable. The location is 1.5 miles away. We would like to stay there for next trip.

Quiet place but Very minimal stocked

Check with the owner if your interested in the fireplace and wood stove shown in the pictures. After checking in we where told they are not available to use. Neither was the dishwasher. Bring your own bath soap and trash bags. None available in unit.

Clean and quaint county charm

Clean and quiet. Very nicely remodeled master bathroom. Split floor plan. Perfect for a small group needing a place to stay and relax in beautiful Payson. Great back deck for enjoying the outdoors. Large clean garage good for parking during winter months. Kitchen is sparsely appointed so if you plan to cook up a storm bring your own pans! We could have been left a few more rolls of toilet paper for a family of four for a week as we were only allotted 4 rolls. But overall this is a nice property on a very quiet street. It has everything you need to stay comfortably in the area for a few days or longer. Host was very helpful. Check in and out was a breeze.
