"Realizing that the hotel was 100 plus years old, the lobby was quite nice, check in was fine. We got up to the room and it was clean for the most part. We checked the bed for bugs and didn't find any, AC was very cold, bathroom could have been a bit cleaner but was ok. What we were dissatisfied with was in order to open close the bathroom door you had to straddle the toilet in order to do so. There was not a box of tissues in the room anywhere, no bucket for ice, I guess you don't need one if...

"The price of our room was the biggest disappointment. If I pay 300.00 I expect an updated bathroom and comfortable beds. Also, there were ants in our room, in one of the beds and on the desk top. When we checked in somehow they showed our reservation was cancelled, but I had my printout of the Expedia reservation and they found a room for us. The staff was friendly. They need to remodel everything in the room and the bathroom vent didn't keep the moisture away. We felt like we couldn't wait...

"We have stayed here twice now. Not too crowded. The scrambled eggs actually taste good. There is an additional sink outside of the bathroom, which is great for when you need to get ready while the bathroom is tied up. Pillow lovers will appreciate that there are 4 pillows for each queen bed."

"A real nice jacuzzi but it took help to get hot water. The staff was very courteous and helpful. Overall a very nice stay. A lot of hiking trails almost out the back door. I would recommend this place"

"We decided to stay here for a couple nights for the Duluth Airshow as it was nearby. It was wonderful. Staff was attentive and respectful. The room was clean and ac was working well. The beds were comfy and two types of pillows were offered (firm and soft). The only con is that the walls were a bit thin and could easily here people above us stomping around. "The rooms were clean. This hotel thought through how many outlets people typically need and it was refreshing. I don't have to bring my own power strip. The hotel is located in an ideal place, right off the freeway but just outside the crowded downtown area."

"Unique property. Kids loved it. The “house” was smaller than the photos represented, but it was still big enough. The property is loud. Expect really squeaky floors, doors, and furniture. If you are adults traveling with kids, just beware that the bed in the adult bedroom is very noisy, if you know what I mean. The jacuzzi tub is REALLY loud. Like a person couldn’t hear the TV in the sitting room over the roar of the jacuzzi. Kitchen is well-equipped and the decor is cute."
