"Room was clean, wish the restroom had a fan, but the bed was very comfortable. We appreciated the chocolate on the pillows and bottled waters. The staff was very friendly and the common area was also nice to have with a microwave, coffee machine and refrigerator to use. Parking is free after 8pm and Sundays so that was helpful with a Saturday night stay. Quicker to take an Uber to visit Salem in October! Would highly recommend. "

"Our stay at The Merchant was excellent!!! It was a historical landmark and we looked up the background of it. The location was great!!! Walking distance to everything around Salem. With only 11 rooms it was quite nice. Megan was very friendly and she made our stay there wonderful. Definitely recommend staying there. Thank you. "

"The dog walk area is very small but there is plenty of other areas to walk your dog. The room was spotless. Breakfast had many options. The only negative thing we could say is one toilet had been clogged by a previous guest so it wouldnt flush. My husband fixed the toilet."

"We love how clean the rooms are, and the Dove soaps and lotions. But our favorite experience was the airport shuttle driver. He cheerfully picked us up right on time and helped everyone get settled. We had a crying baby on board, and he immediately turned on a beautiful, soft lullaby as we took off from the hotel. The baby went right to sleep! And ten passengers left the van with a smile on their faces at 5AM. Sweet!"
