"Harmels on the Taylor is a very nice resort. Unfortunately, we booked late so had a motel style room. We plan to go back and stay in one of their cabins. Breakfast was included and they have a fabulous dining room deck overlooking the Taylor River. We ate all our meals on that deck with our dog. The one thing that needs mentioning. They have a wonderful and happy staff. They were genuinely friendly, helpful that welcomed us in the door. Everybody in their store, office and dining room were...

"Cabin is such a unique Colorado experience. Sitting in the back yard you’ll hear an occasional cow mooing or horse neighing, plus watch so many hummingbirds. Stars in the night sky are beautiful too. Cabin is very comfortable and homey. "

The house is about halfway from Gunnison and Crested Butte and the bus stops are right outside the house to make going to each town very convenient. "Directions to property were well spelled out but it’s still a little tricky to find the driveway. Check in was super easy and the property owner is very responsive. We had no issues. If you don’t like stairs this is not your house. They are steep and funky - common for an older house. We were there in early August and it stayed nice and cool all day. "Great place for 6 adults and small kids. Fenced back yard, playground right down the alley. Limited parking at the home but plenty of parking on the street a short distance from the rental. Also pet friendly. "
