Nice unit, but BEWARE!

We’ve spent the past five summers in Deer Valley, typically at Arrowleaf. This year, we tried Shooting Star. While the condo itself was updated and had a very comfortable bed and sheets, the overall experience was frustrating and poorly managed.We requested early check-in (3:00 p.m.) and were told it would cost 100—even though the unit may have already been ready. That set the tone. When we arrived, we discovered the entire building was mid-construction: garage closed, walkways torn up, pool and hot tub out of service, and major plumbing shut off for hours during our second day. No advance warning. No apology.To make matters worse, the building was practically empty—clearly other managers had blocked out the week due to all the disruption. This unit should never have been rented during that time. When we brought this up, the property manager was dismissive… and then stopped responding entirely.The condo itself was lovely, but the bare-minimum bathroom amenities (tiny combo shampoo/soap) and total lack of transparency about building-wide maintenance made this a frustrating stay. Unless the management changes, I’d recommend staying elsewhere.

Amazing

Lovely condo - better than expected. Abundantly outfitted, whether items like seasonings/paper products/linens/etc or fully stocked kitchen and baths. Beautiful views, quiet complex, great communication with Vacasa, super comfy beds. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Perfect location to ski!

Spent a week at the property with two families. Adults had their own rooms and kids shared the bunks. Crazy amount of snow made the short 50 foot walk from the ski lockers to the slopes well worth the effort, which was required simply to get on top of te record snowpack. Unit contained all amenities needed to cook and enjoy the time off slope. The location is a bit out of the way, so be prepared to shuttle to restaurants and shopping, but with the free service, this is a breeze as well. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice location with a few minor problems

This is a great mid mountain location and a comfortable condo with a few problems: the dishwasher rack is broken making it hard to load dishes, several lightbulbs need replacing, the outlets in the kitchen island don't work, the coffeemaker does not work well. We also had a problem with the kitchen faucet but the management company fixed that same day.

Beautiful ski in/ski out

We had a wonderful time. This is our 4th year visiting Deer Valley and our first time at this property. The condo is spacious, beautiful, clean and convenient. There were no issues with the condo. We had everything we needed. The ski lift is very close and made skiing easy with two children under 12. We were also able to use the Empire Pass shuttle which was also convenient. We would definitely stay here again.
