"Once the three of us arrived, we did not need to drive. The lodge had free shuttles as well as the Park Service. 5 min walk to Bright Angel Trailhead. Cafeteria and pub are both at the lodge. One pizza fed the three of us. Prices are about 25% higher then Phoenix due to the remoteness. Remember to bring snacks, drinks, a hat, flashlight, and sunscreen for hiking and riding on the shuttles. The Canyon rim is 7000ft with blue skies, making it easy to get sunburned.
