"Hotel Margot was not my first choice. I had reservations elsewhere but had to change due to hurricane damage. Expedia was excellent in notifying me of the issue and helping me to find an alternate location on short notice. Hotel Margot reminds me of a well-kept 60's era beach motel. It is relatively well kept and clean. My check-in was delayed as the room was not ready by check-in time. The receptionist was very accommodating and apologetic. I have only 2 real complaints with the room -...

"OK for the price. Our TV remote and phone didn’t work. We had 2 queen beds, one was acceptable, the other one had a bad mattress, I guess the springs were broken. Also, you could see the light from the hallway through the door."

"I had viewed the hotel a few days before I booked and the price went up $30 by the time I booked! I understand that things change and “the early bird gets the worm,” so I figured I would still book since breakfast is included and I would start each day with a hardy/healthy breakfast. I was wrong. They were unable to serve breakfast until Thursday. However, the breakfast was excellent! I do think that someone could have run over to Sam’s Club from Sunday thru Wednesday, though, it was only 25...

"Rooms are aged. Door jam for our room was missing a large piece. Understaffed so I waited 15 minutes for a drink at the bar behind the lone desk clerk. This was a one time deal. Too pricey with the condition of the place. No real damage either from the recent hurricane."

"Wonderful spot for honeymoon !"

"We love the retro style of the motel. We will definitely be back. The music was awesome also. The grill has excellent food and fresh fish. Wonderful place. Staff was super friendly."

"Always a nice place to stay, rooms are always clean and spacious, friendly staff. The pool was out of service which was a huge bummer but the indoor pool and hot tubs were functional and we could use our neighbor hotel pools"

"very clean and friendly staff"

"There for a beach wedding! Great night sleep and so close to everything!"

"Great customer service. Staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The rooms were super clean. Room is equipped with full size fridge, stove/oven, microwave, coffee machine. Separate living room. Breakfast had a wide selection. No powdered eggs ☺️. Hotel has laundry onsite. Ample parking, no fee. Close to shopping, restaurants, highway. Air vondiyioner worked great. The only issue was the fridge was loud. I would definitely stay here again."

"Staff was extremely helpful and the hotel was in great shape for having just gone through the hurricane. Would recommend staying here and we will be back."
