"It's fine. I wouldn't call it 4 star. Simply because the bathroom needs to be updated. The TV has no sports channels which is strange when The Open is being played down the street. Scottish open being played just hours north of us. For 4 stars I don't expect to shower in a tub unless I requested to."

"Everything was excellent. There was one issue with a noisy water pump that was fixed promptly as soon as we brought it to our host's attention. I would recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in Southport. Parking would possibly be a little tight if all the spaces were in use and your vehicle was large. Location is good: quiet but within easy walking distance of town. Eateries very close indeed."

"Sadly, there is not much positive to say about our bed and breakfast stay in a double room at this hotel. We stayed over the Open weekend and you can imagine how increased the room rates were. The hotel is tired, filthy and noisy. The double room is so small, you can't get into the room without having to close the door first. The bed and mattress were the most uncomfortable.
