Two night stay in a seemingly smart hotel with great golfing and spa facilities, However, there are disappointing signs of tiredness including a shower tray with ingrained dirt, and threadbare, ripped sheets. Breakfast in the Charcoa restaurant was excellent and dinner was ok. What sadly lets the hotel down is that the wedding clientele who appear to be the target audience are loud, brash and drunk. If you want to stay in an upmarket hotel for a relaxing stay, be prepared to meet the Love Island generation. I asked The Boss if she would return and she was adamant she wouldn’t, We’ve stayed in far nicer Premier Inns which are consistently well maintained and clean and where you actually get a good nights sleep. Overall, at Ramside, the staff were smart and efficient but not particularly friendly, breakfast was good and our room was comfortable with good facilities and smart features, although noisy neighbours on either side and above made it hard to relax. In summary we were disappointed and are unlikely to return. If you attract the wrong people you get the wrong atmosphere no matter how sophisticated the look.

We got there and there was a note on the door saying the hotel was repossessed as and they still took payment out of my account do I’m now in the middle of trying to get money back,
