"Breakfast was really nice, with lots of options. The hot tub was nice and warm. The pool was freezing. Found the room to be small & fairly dark. The requested room cleaning happened much later in the day than I would have liked. The hotel charges extra for late check outs. Overall it was okay, but decent for a low budget option that saves money on meals out."

"Very good"

"Staff were great, room was spacious and clean. Bed were soft so I was worried but I slept really well. While it is dated, I have no complaints, everything was good. Breakfast was basic but hey free breakfast. If in Nanaimo again, will stay again. 😁"

"Our room was very small but it had everything we needed. The bed was comfy and it was very quiet at night. There were plates and cups along with the grudge and microwave. We didn’t use them but it was nice to know they were there. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. We would definitely stay again."

"Million dollar view. Room was clean and comfortable. Adequate cooking facilities. We were a little disappointed that we lost our ability to access Netflix on our final day. We would return."

"A great place to stay. Wish I stayed more than one night. Will definitely come back again, clean, spacious, great customer service, owner was amazing, quiet and close to home everything. Thank you!!"

"We enjoyed the close proximity to the boardwalk and beach. The room was lovely and we made use of the balcony to enjoy the view and fresh air"

"Beautiful view"

"Every time I am in Parksville, I enjoy staying here , considered best value of money"

"The manager suite above my room sounded like a furniture moving contest until the early AM. I ended up leaving the room as sleep was not possible. It also smelled like sewage. I tried to contact the business but they haven't responded. During my stay or after."

"Nice location. Very helpful staff. They renovated the entire resort (and is still currently being renovated) so the amenities have been upgraded. The washrooms have heated floors which was a nice surprise for us. Recommend if people just want a relaxing time."

"Very nice place. No complaints"

"I had a self-catered 3-night solo silent retreat at Bethlehem and am so glad I did. If you want to unplug and reconnect within and with whatever you understand as creation, this is a great place to do it. The facilities are simple but more than adequate, the property is beautiful with a labyrinth, library, pond feature and more, and Westwood Lake could not be more beautiful."

"My Honest review is The place outside is like a classic, simple motel. But when you enter inside the room its like a five star hotel, its Clean, with best amenities, soft bed and modern things/ furnitures, specially the shower its awesome! Its my first time in this Motel but because of my experience here will definitely recommend this to my friends, plus the cost of per stay is very reasonable and affordable. Good job on your customer service “Departure bay Motel”! 😎👍"
