Welcome to The Nest, a charming and beautifully preserved 1957 mid-century modern retreat designed for effortless Palm Springs living. This two-bedroom home captures the essence of classic desert architecture while offering thoughtful modern upgrades and a private, walled pool yard framed by spectacular mountain views. Whether you’re here to lounge poolside, explore Downtown Palm Springs, or simply soak up the sunshine in total privacy, this intimate escape delivers style, comfort, and location in equal measure. OUTDOOR LIVING SPACES
Step outside into your own private Palm Springs oasis. The fully walled backyard is lushly landscaped with mature palms and showcases sweeping mountain views that define the desert experience. At the center is a sparkling heated pool with an integrated spa, perfect for cooling off during the day or unwinding under the stars. Enjoy al fresco meals at the outdoor dining table for 6–8 guests, relax in the fire pit lounge as the sun sets, or stretch out in the hammock tucked into a quiet corner of the yard. A gas BBQ and multiple seating areas make this outdoor space ideal for both entertaining and peaceful relaxation.

** The pool can be heated upon request for an additional service fee. Please let us know if you'd like the pool heated so we can ensure it is ready before your arrival. If your home has a spa or hot tub, heating the spa or hot tub is included with your rental at no extra cost **

INDOOR LIVING SPACES
Inside, The Nest feels bright, stylish, and inviting, with an open layout that flows seamlessly from living to dining to kitchen. The living room features plush seating and a 55” television, creating a comfortable space to relax after a day in the sun. French doors open directly to the pool yard, blurring the line between indoor and outdoor living and filling the home with natural light. The adjacent kitchen and dining area make gathering, cooking, and sharing meals easy and enjoyable, whether you’re hosting friends or enjoying a quiet night in.

** The term "Pets Allowed” or “Pets Accepted" at an ACME House Company vacation rental means that we welcome dogs only. No other pets are allowed. **

SLEEPING QUARTERS
Both bedrooms are designed as tranquil retreats, each featuring a king bed with a hotel-quality mattress, ample storage, and direct access to the outdoors through French doors. The primary bedroom includes an en-suite bathroom for added privacy, while the second bedroom is conveniently located near the hall bath. With serene décor and easy access to fresh air and pool views, both rooms offer a peaceful place to unwind and recharge.

Located in the highly desirable Tahquitz River Estates neighborhood, The Nest offers a quiet residential setting just minutes from the energy of Downtown Palm Springs. This sought-after area is known for its classic mid-century homes, wide streets, and stunning mountain backdrops. You’re a short drive—or easy bike ride—from Palm Canyon Drive’s dining, shopping, coffee houses, and nightlife, as well as nearby grocery stores and everyday conveniences. Charming desert hideaway

We love the nest and plan to be back. A couple things could be improved: more comfortable couch, the shower spray was too powerful and hurts the skin—especially in the master bath—so that needs to be remedied. Otherwise all is good.

Perfect house, perfect location, perfect host

This house and hosts deiiver on their description. It's a lovely two bedroom, with comfortable beds, a great pool and nice little yard. We had a car, but it was only a mile from down town, so a nice walk during the mild, december weather. The host communicated clearly and regularly. Although the house was problem free, I am positive that if there were issues, they would have been resolved quickly. I can't wait to go back to Palm Springs so I can rent this house again.

Lovely garden

The house was even better than the listing pictures! Both front and back gardens were beautiful, bougainvillea in full bloom. Pool was clean and Hot tub was very hot and relaxing. The rental agency was highly attentive, and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend this house!

Fabulous home!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Nest. Great location, gorgeous backyard, and a surprisingly well-stocked home. The house was comfortable and well-decorated. Only wish is that the bathrooms had fans or that the windows in the bathroom opened. Overall great place and wonderful stay. Thank you!

Great pool property!

This was a great house near downtown Palm Springs. All the amenities were provided. And i absolutely loved the pool and fire feature in the yard. Downside: # of cars allowed and strict noise ordinance. Had a 80th birthday lunch for my mom with a few of her friends who had to park at a local pizza place and walk to the property in 95° weather. And couldn't have any music, even played lowly, outside. Otherwise, completely enjoyed my stay!

The Nest is a Good Spot.

The backyard was amazing. We really enjoyed it. Small issue was the sofa in the living room was passed its prime. It sunk to the floor and when you are over 6ft it was uncomfortable. Small thing. We really appreciated the notebook with all the important information in one place. There were some great restaurant recommendations that we took advantage of. Really great stuff. We would certainly stay there again.

Army Veteran Reunion

We loved the location, the pool and the landscape. The kitchen was fine because we ate out every night. We appreciated the extra garbage bags and dish detergent. The restrooms are in need of an upgrade to take this home to the next level. The real complaint was the sofa. It was broken down and full of fleas or bugs. We all sustained bug bites, after sitting on the couch. If you're going to allow pets, then you should treat the sofa and/or replace it every visit and every season.

Our own private paradise

We loved The Nest. So pristine and private. It had every amenity and thoughtful touch such as fresh ground coffee, firepit and huge bedrooms. The spa wasn't working well, however numerous attempts to address the issue were made. The view of the mountains wasn't quite as shown in the listing since the neighbors trees have grown since the pictures were taken. We will return. We loved it.

Very Comfortable Stay

The house very nice and comfortable. The backyard and outdoor spaces are a good size, slightly bigger than I assumed from the photos. While the inside is not huge, none of the rooms felt small or cramped. The only small item was the sink in the master bath that sits low, but it fits the character and wasn't an issue. Would definitely stay here again.

Amazing outdoor area

Our stay was great! The back yard was absolutely amazing. Lots of birds! The sectional outdoor patio couch was so comfortable! Only issue was the bathroom drainage. Tub and shower did not drain well. But besides that little issue, all was great!

Perfect Get Away!

Property was better than the pictures. Gardens are beautiful. It was a perfect get away for our family of 4 adults. Central location and easy to get to other attractions by car. We loved the pool but very conscious of the noise by-laws. Kitchen well stocked and in working order. Only issue was the check in door code did not work but proper manager fixed the problem immediately. Would definitely recommend this property to others.

Loved it......

This is not a luxe property...but...it was perfectly clean, great location and the perfect amount of space for us (a married couple). The pool and backyard are great and private. We were in town to play golf and see friends. Great location and we would absolutely rent this house again.

Positives: - Neighborhood is nice and quiet - It's close to downtown - For two couples, it's a very livable space, though not large - Bedrooms are both nicely sized, with King beds - Nice yard with areas for sun and shade. Nice pool and hot tub - Responsive company. We had a corroding kettle (should've already been replaced) that they quickly replaced when we mentioned it. - Good property information notebook. - Property was clean and everything was in good working order. Negatives and other things to know - This is not a luxury property, though they're not charging for for that either. It's updated, but an older property. - I would recommend doing the virtual tour so you really get an idea of the layout of the inside, and realize things like the master bathroom is very small, though functional enough. - The hot tub works, but you don't have control over the jets. - Know that when you stay in this part of town, close up to the mountain, you lose the sun over the mountain quite a bit earlier than say, Palm Desert. In early February, we'd lose the sun at 4pm. - Internet was not great. Wifi didn't work well in the backyard. Even cellular (Verizon) didn't work well in the backyard (or even downtown) - There's a big sign in the backyard (plus info in the handbook) warning you of a $500 Fine + Eviction, per city ordinance, stating things like "No music outdoors at any time," and "No inside noise or music audible outdoors," So if you wanted to play some music at a low volume on an outdoor bluetooth speaker, you're out of luck. I know it's not a rule of this specific house, but it's overbearing, and it would've been nice to know beforehand. Hopefully by the time you read this, it'll be in the property description.

Older People Beware

This was a very clean house with plenty of kitchen utensils, pans etc. It is midcentury modern and in keeping with that the couch is very low. If you are older and have knee problems it will be difficult to get up from the couch. The back yard is gorgeous and is well maintained. However, there is no railing for entry into the pool or the spa. Again, if you are older and have knee problems or balance problems it will be a difficult spa to get in and out of. We paid for a heated pool but their idea of heated does not match mine. The pool was 4 ft at the shallow and 7 ft at the deep end. My grandkids would have loved it. The neighborhood felt safe and was easy to get in and out of. The bed was comfortable but in the master there was a sink in the bathroom. No cabinet or counter space, just a sink. The second bathroom had counter space.

Cozy home with fantastic outdoor space

My family loved the place! The pool was heated perfectly, the hot tub worked really well, the landscaping was beautiful, and the lounge furniture was of top-notch quality. The beds were comfy and the Moccamaster was clutch. The master bath was a little small but didn’t really bother us as everything else was great. Nice touch with music playing on the TV as we checked in. We didn’t have to contact the property manager during our stay but they were texting every so often just to see how we were doing which was nice and not intrusive at all. Great location and close to the main drag. We definitely would come back!

Nice backyard retreat

The outdoor amenities were the reason we booked the property and they did not disappoint! We had a few issues with the heating of the spa/pool but the management company was in constant communication and the issues were fixed to our satisfaction. The company provided water filter carafe so we did not need to buy (and dispose of) bottled water, and providing coffee and creamer was another nice touch. The only negative I would say is the house is advertised as "walk to town." It is easily more than a mile to downtown Palm Springs and there is not stores or restaurants (other than a convenience store) within walking distance. The road is busy and isolated in some areas as well. This was not a big issue at all, but if you want something within walking distance, this isn't the place.
