Stylish Home in front of Casa Professa by Wonderful Italy

  • Nuestra casa está ubicada dentro del Palazzo Pulvirenti del siglo XVIII, un palacio noble renovado que da a la Piazza Casa Professa, donde la iglesia homónima del período barroco también se conoce como la Iglesia del Gesù, una de las más hermosas y evocadoras de Palermo.
    El apartamento se encuentra en la planta baja, con vigas de techo especiales y paredes de piedra que dan espacio y altura a las habitaciones. Junto con los arcos, las vigas y la piedra son todos elementos originales de la época.
    Desde la entrada se accede al salón con cocina americana; desde aquí, a través de una sugerente puerta antigua, se accede al primer dormitorio doble con baño en suite con ducha. El primer dormitorio conduce al segundo dormitorio, que también tiene un baño en suite, caracterizado por un vidrio especial del piso al techo que destaca la antigua mayólica y la piedra. Las habitaciones se comunican, y en cada habitación hay armarios empotrados.
    En el segundo baño, el lavamanos es de piedra y en una parte del piso se puede admirar la mayólica original debajo del piso actual a través de una placa de vidrio.

    El apartamento está ubicado cerca de Quattro Canti, la Catedral, el Palazzo dei Normanni y Via Maqueda, una de las principales calles comerciales de Palermo, recientemente peatonal, y esto ha aumentado aún más la habitabilidad del área, con varias tiendas, restaurantes y bares. En los alrededores. La ubicación es perfecta para explorar el centro histórico y saborear todas las tentaciones culinarias y para visitar los mercados de Capo y Ballarò.

    El área donde se ubica la casa es Ballarò, muy céntrica y cerca del mercado tradicional homónimo.

The place was stylish and clean. It is a renovated storage facility in an old building’s garage level. But they’ve done well with the space. Only suggestion would be to insulate the second door to the outside- or put up a wall. Considering it is designed to be the Master bedroom and you can here every step and the front door closing, you wonder what they can here outside. Otherwise, the place was inexpensive relative to the rest of Palermo and beautifully unique.

Suggestions…..the condo is in a great location, the building is awesome & history wonderful. My suggestion would be to add some coffee tables in the living room. Some place to put your bags (suitcases) in bedroom and some place to put you tooth brush & combs etc in bathroom. It was amazing to stay in this historic building.

Lovely architecture and great central location. Not great communication from host before or after arrival. The bathrooms were very small and being on the ground floor we could smell the sewage from the shower drains.

Leider konnten wir keinen erreichen und haben 1,5 Stunden vor der Unterkunft gewartet. Der Typ war dann sehr freundlich, aber die Kommunikation mit wonderful italy war grottenschlecht. Ich hatte nie das Gefühl, dass sich jemand kümmert. Es gab keine Telefon Nummer, die ich anrufen konnte. Auch im Notfall - und wir hatten einen medizinischen Notfall - lief alles nur über Mail und WhatsApp- kein Anruf! Sehr schade.

Wir können die Wohnung nicht empfehlen. Es roch aus Abflüssen und Kühlschrank, ein halbherziger Versuch der Agentur für Abhilfe zu sorgen bestand in Duftsteinen für die Toiletten. Die Sauberkeit war gering, die Küchenausstattung minimalistisch und das Mobiliar zum Teil veraltet und verschmutzt. Es mangelt an Tageslicht. Die Bilder vermitteln einen anderen Eindruck. Die Lage war sehr zentral.

Great start

We had a great stay! Close to do many sights, food, and shopping. We walked almost everywhere, it was a little difficult to get to by car as the GPS was a little confusing, but besides that it was fantastic. Very easy to communicate with owners and they even helped me when the airline list my bag and needed to deliver it!

Passé le charme des premiers instants par l'aspect atypique et la restauration faite avec goût du logement, on constate que l'on est un peu comme dans une cave (Une seule fenêtre pour tout le logement) avec en plus les odeurs d'égout se diffusant depuis les SDB. Appartement pas fonctionnel. Idéal pour simplement dormir (pas possibilité de faire ne serait ce qu'une salade : très peu de couverts, de verres, bols... absence de plats, pas de micro ondes et , pas equipé pour recevoir 4 personnes.Les douches sont très étroites. Très bien situé.

Cool place at the Casa Professa

The apartment is located just a few meters from the Casa Professa Church which is high baroque and amazing. It's also centraly located just off Via Marqueda which is a main street with lots of touristy sites you'll want to visit. The harbor is about a 15 walk. So, great location, good bed and bedding, clean and modern bathrooms and basic kitchen

The unit was nicely decorated and stonework was lovely. The host company was very accessible. The kitchen was poorly stocked. There were only dishes and cups and silverware enough for 2 of us although there was sleeping for 4. Older dishes and silverware, rusty drying rack, no dish towel, cabinet door didn't open easily. There was a nice table and 4 chairs.The bathroom was nicely decorated but the shower leaked to puddles on the floor. We were told there was no wifi when we asked for the password, but our person who checked us in got it working. The apartment was in a great location, near the center of the city, but the entrance to this lovely building was full of weeds. There is potential that could be easily achieved by a quick check of the apartment before guests arrive. Bedrooms were nice and large and had chairs as well as queen beds.

Nice place in the historic part of Palermo. 2 minute walk to the market. Overall the place is located in walking distance to port much all the historical sites of Palermo. The only downfall is the smell coming from the drains/ pipes. We had to buy deodorizers to try mask it. Expect to pay a local dude for parking if you have a car. It seemed a little shady, but our vehicle was well looked after and we were guaranteed our spot till we left. 3 days/20 euros.

Fabulous location, ridiculously small bathrooms

Centrally located, nice interior, but bathrooms unnecessarily tiny given the floor area. There was a disgusting smell of drains in one of the bathrooms and the fridge smelt of old fish.

Nice lokation, poor communikation

The lokation was Great. Very close to everything. Beautiful old ceilings/ Walls in apartment. Small bathrooms/ showers. Bad smell in one bathroom. Couldn’t get in touch with agency, waited long time for someone to come with the key, did’nt get answer from neithter VRBO nor Wonderful Italy.

Great spot for friends vacation

The property was in a great location for walking to everything in Palermo we wanted to see. We appreciated the additional suggestions by Wonderful Italy of things to see and do in the city. While A/C was advertised, we never received the remotes to turn it on. Thankfully, the windows had screens so we were able to open them for better air-flow.

Beautiful and spacious with character

Right across the street from an incredible, art filled church (Casa Professa), and with a stately front door itself, this place has great interior architectural details, and plenty of space. The interior lighting isn’t ideal, and you should check to see if the back bathroom has had its plumbing fixed (awful smell throughout the back bedroom, and the back bathroom), but other than that, it’s in a perfect Location to walk to the train station, the outdoor street markets, and the main streets (4 corners) and an easy longer walk down to the bay. If the plumbing hadn’t forced us to abandon the back bedroom, this would be 5 stars, for sure.

Séjour à Palerme centre

Emplacement idéal pour visiter Palerme. L’appartement est spacieux mais sombre. Le mur en pierre est joli mais l’ambiance est froide, on est un peu comme dans une cave, une seule fenêtre. Joli immeuble . Le coin cuisine est très réduit. Pas possible de cuisiner. Pas de four. Très petit frigidaire. La climatisation fonctionnait bien..Pas de WIFI. Les douches sont très petites et pourraient ne pas convenir en cas de forte corpulence. Convient pour un court séjour pour visiter la ville. Tout est très propre. Très bon accueil.

pas d'électricité at aucun geste

l'appartement est très joli et trés bien situé MAIS des odeurs d'égout insupportable , très sombre et très bruyant; Le dernier soir à 21h (heureusement) plus d'électricité (impossible de trouver le disjoncteur général et nous n'avons pu joindre personne alors qu'on nous avait donné un numéro de téléphone où appeler de 9h à 23 h . J'ai laissé plusieurs messages mais je n'ai pu joindre quelqu'un que le lendemain à 10 h !!! pas de douche pas de lecture at aucun geste commercial ! même pas d'excuse !

The place was beautiful. But many of the basics were overlooked.The kitchen was adequate l. But there were no bowls. The first time have ever seen that. We had to eat cereal out of pots.The wifi was quite substandard 2G, which has not been an online standard since 2003. When I asked if it could be upgraded, I received no answer.One of the toilet seats broke. And while they sounded like they thwyvwoukd sent a repair person, none showed up.There were no garbage bags and little toilet paper. We had to replace both.The host seemed uninterested in address confusion and didn't see fit to have their in person agent do anything to assist us. To their credit they did admit the problem. But at the time the in person agent behaved as though he was the victim of the confusion, not us.The two redeeming features were the location and the apartment itself which was quite beautiful.I would also suggest that where Vrbo promotes properties on partners sites, communication should be seamless. I often had difficulty getting hold of the host on Wonderful Italy. To theirbcredit they also allowed us to do late check out because our flight out of Palermo was in the evening.
