ACCOMMODATION

The apartment was renovated in 2016, the windows are thermal break with glazing to better soundproof the environment, the entrance door is armored. It consists of 3 bedrooms with air conditioning and LED TV, 2 bathrooms and a kitchen. Videophone, video surveillance and Wifi free.
It is delivered with towels and bed linen, with hairdryer, iron and drying rack. The kitchen is complete with various household appliances and also a washing machine.


GUEST ACCESS

The guest has the right to use the entire apartment to better enjoy his stay for work or holiday in complete relaxation and privacy.


A TOUR IN THE SURROUNDINGS

Being located at the Quattro Canti, in the historic center, within 300 meters are the most important monuments, churches, theaters, museums, squares, streets of the city (Palazzo dei Normanni, Cappella Palatina, the Martorana, the Cathedral, Casa Professa , Massimo and Politeama theater, Piazza Pretoria or Vergogna and much more). Close to the apartment there are also the popular historical markets of Ballarò, Vucciria and Capo, as well as the nightlife clubs of Palermo. In the area there are several places where you can taste the excellent Sicilian cuisine and the best Street Food. Adjacent are the stops of public transport to reach the different points of the city. It is just 10 minutes from the central train station. In the area there is possibility of parking either in the free street or private garages.


THE DISTRICT

The apartment is located in a historic building of the fifteenth century. (Palazzo Moncada), restored and renovated in 2014/2016, located at the Quattro Canti.
You are in the heart of Palermo, along the Arab-Norman UNESCO route, but you are also in the center between Piazza Massimo and Pretoria, between Piazza Marina and the Parliamentary, between the popular markets of Ballarò, Capo and Vucciria where the lively and intense Palermo movida.
From Casa Petra you can get lost among the noble Palaces of the neighborhood (Aliata, Conte Federico, Mirto etc.), between characteristic alleys of the historic center and among the Arab markets, testimony of the various and varied cultures that have followed one another in Palermo. You are just a few steps from the promenade and its promenade, in an area full of pretty artisan shops, in a place full of curiosity and mystery.
It will be easy to reach all the most interesting places without stress and without haste. Simply walking. You will feel enveloped by the scent of citrus fruits, cannoli and our street food renowned all over the world. You will not have time to get bored thanks to the intense day and night life that animates the whole city.
You will see and touch centuries of history that will materialize before your eyes in the form of walls, marbles, stucco and you will understand why Palermo will not be a simple destination for you.

Right in the middle of the historic district of Palermo. The apartment was perfect for touring the entire area. Everything was setup for our entire family.

Perfect lovation!

We couldn't have been happier with our stay! Communication from the point of making the reservation all the way through our stay and after was outstanding. The property was in an amazing location close to everything! it was clean and well appointed. Franco helped guide us through some hiccups with our luggage not making it on our connecting flight. He truly went above and beyond...we look forward to a return visit to Palermo soon!!

Fantastic Apartment & Location

The best communication by the manager. He even gave us his recommended places to see with our short time in Palermo, booked our transportation to and from the airport, and made us dinner reservations because of our very tight schedule. He went above and beyond. Would stay again.

Located just a couple of minutes from Quattro Canti in the heart of Palermo. Franco and Maria are fantastic hosts. Franco met us and lead us to the parking garage that he had arranged for us, helped us with our bags and got us settled in. We had a great stay.

Outstanding location! Franco and Maria were wonderful hosts. Franko even arranged a transfer from the airport for us. We travel in Europe frequently, staying in holiday homes, and we put this in the top three. Hope to return with our son and daughter-in-law.

It started long before our stay. The host went above and beyond for us. He reserved a safe place we could leave our car (which i highly recommend because parking is rough). He also booked us attwo wonderful restaurants. The apartment was just as described, wonderful. But what i didnt realize was the main area is literally like 15 steps from the apartment which was so convenient. I could go on and on. I would highly recommend this place to everyone i know traveling to Palermo!!! Thanks again for all of the added touches that made our vacation even better and less stressful. I wish every host was like you.

Wonderful Stay!

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Petra! We appreciate them letting us check in early since our flight got in early in the day. The apartment is in a very busy area. It was a little loud at night, but we kept the windows closed and it didn't bother us. We had 4 adults and 2 teens and stayed for 2 nights. It was a little hard with there being only 1 shower, but it worked for us since it was a short stay. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. We loved the location and the fact we could walk everywhere. Would stay again! Thank you Franco!

Phenomenal.

I can not even begin to describe how amazing Franco was. This property is located only a few steps from the literal center of historic Palermo. Franco was incredible enough to coordinate a parking spot at the in city parking garage, the ZTL parking pass, and even meeting us at a location to guide us to where we parked; all of those things were incredibly helpful and we would have been lost without them. The property is exactly as described; extremely spacious, well appointed, and three nice bedrooms. The property is very clean. He even had four itineraries printed out of things to do for the day around the area. He had some lovely little breakfast items for us for the mornings of our stay. Franco checked on us throughout our stay and even took the initiative to help rectify an issue that had nothing to do with him or his property. He truly went above and beyond. He was more than a host to his property, he was a host to his country. We will absolutely stay with him again.

The apartment building and the apartment itself were clean and updated. It is in a location that some people may say is convenient as it is in the center of things - literally right next to the Quattro Canti and on Via V. Emmanuel. However, I didn't like the area of the apartment building or the area by the parking garage for our rental car. Crowded, graffiti when entering alley to apartment, homeless people nearby (and i live in NYC so I am used to this, but don't want to see it when I travel). We had stayed in the Politeama area when we arrived in Palermo a week earlier, but the hotel we stayed at was not available for our last night in Palermo after touring Sicily. So I found this apartment and the price was inexpensive, got good ratings and is very nice for the price, and we only needed to sleep there and get up early and leave. So didn't really experience any amenities in the kitchen. Please be aware that the electricity cannot handle a hair dryer and 3 bedroom air conditioners going at the same time. The fuse blew and thankfully I could feel for my phone in front of me and was able to turn on the flashlight, as it was night time and dark. The host and his associate were very accessible and responsive for this issue and any time I contacted them, however, they can only communicate in English through What's App using a translator app. They both said their English is not good.

At the crossroads of the beating heart of the historic quarter

What an amazing location... just a short walk to churches, markets and the cathedral as well as the eating area on the next block. Check in and out was very easy with photos of each step of the process to access the building and the key safe, as well as rapid responses from Franki & Maria. When we asked for a 2nd set of keys for the 4 adults, these were dropped off very quickly. There's just 10 steps up from the ground floor to the front door. The living space of the apartment felt small so we didn't spend much time there as there was plenty to do in Palermo anyway. There was bathroom but also a 2nd toilet separate. The bedding description had changed since we booked so it is now more accurate as we had expected 4 double beds but found 2 doubles, a sofa bed and 2 singles.

Communication was excellent. Maria and Franco would assist with anything we needed quickly. The best thing about the apartment is the location. It’s in the heart of Palermo and we were able to walk everywhere. The 3 bedrooms are an adequate size. The living/kitchen/dining area is very small. There is air conditioning in all the bedrooms. The only issue we had was that if the air conditioner was on, you were unable to use the hair dryer or the washing machine. The lights would go out and we learned how to flip the switch in the outside hallway. The apartment is on the older side but provided everything you would need. I would recommend it for anyone wanting to explore Palermo but not planning to spend much time in the apartment.

Great location in the middle of old historical city. Exceptional property with an extra touch of care from home and housekeeping staff. Our host arranged for timely transportation to and from airport that insure a stress free arrival and departure. Too many places to see and places to eat….

Location, location, location

Franco was extremely helpful. He not only made sure someone was available to get us right in, but he arranged for parking for our rental car as well. We could not have asked for a better location. It is right off the Main Street with plenty of restaurants and stores easily in walking distance. It was extremely easy to get to the sights without long walks or taking taxis. There was such an amazing vibe right outside your front door. The main living area felt a little cramped and looked bigger in the pictures, but the bedrooms were enormous with very comfortable beds. As long as you don’t mind a little street noise outside your windows (very little) and you enjoy night life this is the place for you. I highly recommend this property.

Perfect time in Palermo!

My family of 5 had a great stay at Casa Petra. Clean, comfortable and convenient apartment. Walk right out front door and you are right in the historic district of the city. Location could not have been any better. We loved Palermo!

Very central

We stayed 3 nights at this wonderful condo. Pros: Franco was a perfect host, gave great recommendations, helped with reservations of transfers and restaurant! Location is in middle of all the actions, restaurants, street vendors. Condo is fully equipped, and clean. Good water pressure in shower. Common area was clean. Very safe area. Cons: can hear all the actions outside well passed midnight, hear upstairs neighbour walking and pulling furniture, shower stall a little small. Overall, highly recommend this condo! Would come back anytime.
