"The house is absolutely beautiful! Perfect size for 3 people and so quiet. The freeway is just a short walk away and couldn’t hear a thing! The property felt isolated but is just a short drive from restaurants and shops. Being able to walk down to the river and use the dock was perfect for wading and fishing. Although the river was high at the time of year we were there, it was still enjoyable and relaxing."

"The Peaceful Cottage was very comfortable, extremely clean, and well appointed. After driving on the I-5 all day, it was a cool respite in the heat on my journey. I really liked the little yard for my dog. I only stayed one night but it is close to Redding and Shasta lake dam which was pretty to see in the evening. There are a few restaurants in Shasta Lake town but many more options in nearby Redding. Overall, it was a very nice night's stay."

"We had an absolutely spectacular birthday weekend for my wife. The house is completely out on its own—you can’t see another structure wherever you look. The photos honestly don’t do the view justice. It’s gorgeous. The kitchen has everything you need, the master bedroom is as comfortable as you could hope for (we didn’t use any of the guest rooms), and the hot tub is really the highlight of the property. "This home is meticulously updated from top to bottom. The pictures are very nice but do not do it justice. It is very spacious with an open floor plan that allows guests to all be together yet various areas to split off to have separate conversations. There is a great balcony patio outside with nice view of the river from inside and outside the home.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay."
