"The historic building and our room were lovely. However it needs to be mentioned that that building has low ceilings and no air conditioning. I was disappointed that the reception staff did not let me know that as I had booked an air conditioned room. The weather was hot and although they provided a standard fan it was only adequate. Having said that the Polish breakfasts were excellent (so much food and cooked to order). And the location is perfect to explore the old city and the riverfront....

"I cannot over-emphasize how unique the top level apartment is. You won't find anything like this in a typical hotel in Poland. You get an amazing view of the square, plus a large sitting area, and a well equipped kitchen. The furniture in the apartment is exquisite, and are of a quality you would put in your own home. All of the beds are in a single bed-room, which might work well for a family. Of course, for something this unique, you have to pay the cost: Access is only by climbing...

"This is one of the most beautiful hotel rooms I have ever stayed in. The only issue is no lift to that floor but the desk clerk was very willing to help with our bags. The room was very comfortable, cool to my standards(being an American) and the village of Torun is absolutely charming. I throughly enjoyed my visit there and intend to return to both the village and hotel."

"Good hotel in a historic building. Steep stairs and no lift. Not ideal for the elderly or anyone with mobility issues. Breakfast was excellent. The staff are very helpful. "Friendly welcome and efficient check in. Suite and hotel are immaculately clean. The style of the lounge and bedroom is different (mix of colours and patterns has the feel of 1974 :)). However all items were new and in perfect condition. Bathroom is modern, fully equipped (loo bidet, bath and separate shower ) It seems to be a conference /event venue. 15 to 20 minute stroll into the town centre. Would recommend I will return next time I am in Torun"
