The house was beautifully clean and the beach view was superb. You can see the channel islands directly out of the main dining/living area and master bedroom, which provides a "focal point" view and it is wonderful. The beach access is also superb. The house was exactly as described. The area is quiet and safe. Highly recommended, would return here in the future. The host communication was excellent and responsive. They spent considerable time cleaning the outside, the glass was spotless, and that takes a lot of time and effort. The kitchen was well designed and appliances worked flawlessly. The layout is great for this location and the furnishings were tastefully selected and properly laid out. I will repeat that having the channel islands in the background provides a much more visually striking view that the standard ocean perspective. All remote controls and controls overall were thoughtfully labeled and easy to understand. 8 minute drive to the launch point for the channel island boat tours.

My husband and I spent the holiday week at this beautiful home in Oxnard, we were not disappointed. Even with a little rain the view of the ocean was so relaxing. Loved this home and all that it has to offer. Didn't want to go home.

Fabulous Property

Incredible ocean views from spectacular home at Silver Strand Beach. Already planning a return trip and would recommend to anyone seeking a special beach vacation.

What a beautiful beach house!

What a gorgeous place to stay! Our family loved being right on the sand. The house was modern with big, beautiful windows to enjoy sunsets. It was a perfect and relaxing week at the beach.

Big, Beautiful house on the sand!

My granddaughters and I had the best time ever. Dave's house was beautiful, and the location was the best. It was right on the sand with gorgeous sunsets every night. The girls went to surf camp that was right up the street. A lot of stairs but everyone had their own privacy. I hope to stay there again next year.

Wedding Weekend

We travelled to Oxnard to attend a wedding and decided on a beach vacation too. The weather was cool and cloudy, but beach walks, wildlife viewing and hanging around the beautiful house were all great. We had an easy side trip up to Santa Barbara; a lovely time all around!

Fantastic

The view from the house was absolutely fantastic. We enjoyed the gorgeous sunset every evening from the living room that had floor to ceiling windows and glass doors out to the patio. We will rent it again if we ever decide to visit the same beach in the future.

Fomos recebidos pelo proprietário e recebemos todas as informações pertinentes à casa.A descrição da casa no anúncio não chega aos pés da maravilha que encontramos. É surpreendente!!Contudo, a vista privilegiada de frente para o mar, proporciona um espetáculo diariamente, o pôr de sol!Super recomendamos a hospedagem!

Amazing Property

I would highly recommend this property. The house is absolutely beautiful. This is one case where the pictures don’t do it justice. The owner is great to work with and made sure every need was met. Silverstrand Beach is a hidden gem. It is a beautiful and well maintained beach that doesn’t get a lot of traffic. The sunsets behind the Channel Islands were amazing.

Great House. Fabulous location

I stayed at David's wonderful house with my husband, daughter, son-in-law and 7 year old twins. The location is right on the beach and we watched our girls playing in the sand while we had our coffee inside. The house has all the conveniences one could hope for and communication with David was easy. The views from the house are incredible as the main rooms have floor to ceiling windows that provide unobstructed views of a large, soft sand beach. Can't wait to go back!

Just a great place to stay RIGHT ON THE BEACH

The owner, Dave, is very communicative and a joy to work with. And the property is simply stunning. Two walls of GLASS overlooking the sand and ocean. We took walks in the evenings. The kids boogy boarded in the surf. It was a 10 minute drive to WHOLE FOODS OR COSTCO and the kitchen has all the great amenities to cook. Just a great beach getaway. THANKS!

Great space

Great home. There were a few surprises. When we first booked home the listing stated “entire home 3,500 square feet”. Upon check in owner was very nice however at the end mentioned he had a friend that might stop by and stay at the lower level studio. This was very misleading as we were expecting the entire home. Also, it turned out the tenant was there every day! There were no issues with the tenant however we felt uncomfortable with the set up as we always book entire homes. We don’t even stay at condos as we prefer a complete private getaway. Since our stay they adjusted the listing to just state home instead of entire home. Also, they updated that I friend stays in studio. Wish we were told sooner as this is very important to us when we choose a vacation. The master bedroom was a great size however if closet space is important to you then be prepared to have no closet as it was locked. We have never had a closet not be available to us in a master bedroom. Also, there is no garage access. Overall beautiful views and fit the 5 of us.

A Gem in the Silver Strand

This stay as well as the property have exceeded our expectations. As we found out this beautiful house was built by the owner for himself, and you can definitely see the personal touch in both the architectural and the interior design. Furniture, rugs, and appliances are hand selected and of superior quality. Everything is designed for the coziness and convenience of use. The kitchen is set up well, you shouldn't need to bring anything, unless you are an avid chef and require your own set of tools/pans. Linens and towels are clean and crisp, and the onsite laundry room will help you keep it this way. Bathroom amenities and cleaning supplies are well-chosen and stocked. Every corner of the property is set up for the most use and comfort. It definitely feels like a lived-in house, not a rental or a hotel. The host has thought of even the coconut oil at the entrance to remove the occasional tar you get on your feet at the beach. The beach is a separate beauty. A long strand, well taken care of by the city and the residents is inviting and clean. Great for walking, playing, chilling, never overcrowded, always awesome. There are a couple of local breakfast places, a bar, and a bodega walking distance from the property. Major stores, like Ralphs, Trader Joe's, Costco, Wholefoods, Walmart, and others are about a 15-minute drive away. Plenty of little streets and the length of the beach for extended walks. DEFINITELY recommend this property and look forward to renting it again.

From the check in process to following up with us after we left, the entire stay was awesome. The house was clean, well equipped and David was very responsive and helpful. For anyone looking for a relaxing place on the beach, book here without reservation. Great property!

Oxnard Beach Getaway

Dave was friendly and easy to communicate with. The house was gorgeous and had beautiful beach and ocean views. A wonderful getaway for us.
