"Excellent communication from the start. The check in process couldn’t have been any easier. I travel to the black hills area multiple times a year with my Weimaraner (now 2 weims). Even my girls seemed at ease. Traveling with dogs can be very difficult. It was nice to be able to settle in so effortlessly. Every time we would leave to go hike some trails and come back, they both acted like they do at home! The house is located in a great spot to be far enough from over crowded tourist areas but...

"It is easy to locate. It was clean and very suitable for outdoor activities from the fire pit to Air Hockey table to the bean bags and bottle bash games. We were close to trails and could just leave from the cabin to go on the ATV trails. There was plenty of room for the kids to play outside. "

"On our one evening here, we went out onto the porch of our cabin after dark to have a beer and look at the stars. While we were goggling at the Milky Way, horses out in the field were chuffling and whinnying in the dark, and it was kinda magical. I've never stayed anywhere that offered that kind of experience. The landscape around the ranch is beautiful, the cabins are clean and cute, the saloon is fun place to stop in for a drink and game of pool, and the bacon at breakfast was incredible....

"If you like rustic and simple, the peacefulness of the country and being "off the grid" you are gonna Love this place! Enjoy the thrill as you drive down the miles of winding gravel roads wondering if the next bend is your destination. And finally you are there... feel the peace as you slowly roll down the drive... no traffic, no noise, no hassle. "We were only here a day, but my kids and I had a great time! The property is beautiful and the service is spectacular! Loved the saloon and enjoyed home cooked breakfast and dinner! My daughter is terrified of horses but they eased her into meeting them and got her comfortable enough to try a trail ride. Kids asked to come back next year which is the ultimate stamp of approval!"

"Highlight of our cross-country trip. We ate dinner in the ranch house and my 3 teenage kids were in heaven. The saloon was so much fun with live music, singing, and playing pool. The ranch hand gave us a tour of the horse barn. Wish we had time for a trail ride but were just passing through. We also saw mule deer and wild turkeys as we walked around the area. "I booked a visit to Kara Creek Ranch in an effort to escape the Denver area fireworks with my pup (he's super fearful). Cassie promptly responded to all of my questions before arriving and provided all of the info that I needed to check-in.
