"Fire alarm went off twice early on the Sunday morning with heavy smoke caused by blocked chimney in the restaurant area - we decided to leave rather than stay for breakfast in a smoke filled room and was told we would receive a refund, but a refund was never provided."

"Excellent location for visiting IWM Duxford and only 10 minutes on the train to Cambridge. Janet and Simon couldn't have been more welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble and the breakfasts were really good with options for all tastes. Would stay again without hesitation."

When we checked out no questions asked how was your stay my husband asked where to leave the keys she said just there. Not acceptable we came all the way from London. It was suppose to be igh hotel. "Lovely room, clean and a homey feel to it. The bed is a superking size and super comfy!! Hosts were very friendly and helpful. We only had a light breakfast, which included lots of choices (cereal, toast, yogurt, fruit etc). We would definitely recommend Orchard house!"

"One of the most unforgettable experiences lately, room was newly renovated, very comfortable and had an amazing view to the college courtyard. Breakfast was way better than the ones in 4-star London hotels and the breakfast room is like out of Harry Potter books. Big thanks to the staff and Jesus college.
