Lowell’s Cove Getaway is a beautiful 2 story home which overlooks the sparkling waters of Lowell’s Cove on beautiful Orr's Island. Bring your family and pets ($60.per pet/per day fee required) to this 3-bedroom 2 bath, home located on a quiet private road. It is a short drive or walk to the beach at nearby Lowell’s Cove. You may also enjoy other nearby opportunities to both swim and kayak along the rugged Maine coast.

Sit out on the upper deck to enjoy a book, cup of coffee, glass of wine, or just watch the activities on the water of Lowell's Cove. Sleep comfortably on a summers night with an AC unit in each bedroom, and one in the common area. In the fall and winter relax inside by the propane fireplace on cool evenings or rainy days.

Take a walk to the nearby Island Candy Company for handmade candy or a scoop of ice cream, delicious. Continue walking (or driving) south on Rt 24 to the one of a kind Cribstone Bridge connecting Orr's and Bailey Island. Choices for lunch and dinner are located on both side of the bridge. May we suggest Salt Cod Café, Cook's Lobster & Ale House, Sundrenched, or Bailey Island General Store (BIGS). Rent a kayak or take a lesson at H2O outfitters or book a sailing adventure on Casco Bay with the Schooner Alert. Choose your own adventure!

We recommend a car for your stay here in Harpswell, Lowell's Cove Getaway is located 20 minutes from major grocery stores and the town of Brunswick. We hope you will be able to enjoy exploring all the Maine coast has to offer. If you will be flying to Maine, we recommend Portland International Jetport (PWM). If assistance is needed for varying flight arrivals of your party, Safe Harbour Property Management offers concierge rides to and from PWM, please inquire.

Our stay at this Orr's Island rental was ejoyable. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning views of the water right from the deck, a sight that truly made our trip unforgettable. We enjoyed the front porch, sipping coffee in the morning and seeing the breathtaking sunsets in the evening. It was the ideal spot for unwinding and taking in the natural beauty of the Maine coast. Another great week on Lowell Cove

We had a great week at Lowell Getaway. A lovely home…nicely decorated and appointed with everything we could possibly need. My grandson loved his room (with the twin beds) and we spent many hours on the porch, reading or just enjoying the great view. Great location; nice and quiet and near all our favorite places…Salt Cod Cafe, Orrs Library, Island Candy Company.

We had a great time as a family at this beautiful, authentically-decorated home on Orr's Island! The home served us well and had a beautiful view that you could see from many windows, the front porch, and even while standing at the sink. I really loved the decorations because they were so authentic. Glass fishing floats, displays of sea glass, nautical flags, a lobster trap lamp, and many other authentic and locally-oriented details made it so genuine. My favorite detail was the L.L. Bean nautical map bed sheets which featured Casco Bay and even had Orr's Island on them! Another detail I loved were beautiful, authentic landscape paintings by D.A. Fisher, apparently an artist from Portland, Maine who was born in the 1800's. The home felt like a family's long-established vacation home, even though the house itself is newer. I was happy that it had a washing machine and dryer. The caretakers seem very safety-oriented because there were many nightlights throughout the home and also many door emergency keys all over the place (good if a young child accidentally locks himself into a room). It was clean and seemed to be taken care of well. The location was wonderful and quiet with several local restaurants nearby but also only 20 minutes away from a bigger town with Walmart and any typical store you could need. My one tip would be to make sure the long couch against the kitchen counter area is pulled out enough so that no one hits his head on the counter while taking his seat.

Our great vacation in Harpswell's Lowell'sGetaway

The house was very clean, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, great porch with wonderful sunrises and views. Close to restaurants and small markets. Cedar beach is wicked good and only 10 minutes away. The best little candy/ chocolate shop that also makes their own silky smooth, not-too-sweet ice cream is a 5-minute walk away, and tempting every day.

Great getaway to Maine!

Our family and two small dogs enjoyed this nice spot near the water! The home was clean and well-supplied. We appreciated the nice extra amenities like a tea selection, well stocked paper products, and disposable plates. The porch is awesome - you can sit out and look right at the water.

Awesome home, perfect location, great vacation

This is a beautiful, well kept and well appointed home. The front porch is expansive and a great place to curl up with a book and listen to the waves in the bay. The home is comfortable and is centrally located. It is easy to get to many fun activities, including Kayaking, hiking, local shopping, beach going, site seeing, exploring. We highly recommend this home, and we look forward to coming back next year! 😊

Great return

Our second stay was every bit as enjoyable as our first, a year ago. This is a beautidully maintained property with lovely ocean outlooks from all living areas and the raised deck. The house is fully and thoughtfully equipped for a Maine coastal holiday; the three bedrooms are equally pleasing, immaculate, comfortable. The open plan works perfectly for family living. We have found David, the property manager, to be immediately responsive on any question, professional in all dealings - and welcoming! This makes a fine base for exploring the Harpswell islands and this part of midcoast Maine.

Wonderfully appointed beach house

My wife, family and I loved this house. It was well kept and had all the amenities we were looking for… washer/dryer, big fridge, grill, Keurig and ceiling fans in all the bedrooms. The only thing missing was a dishwasher. It had a real home vibe, like we were staying at a friend’s beach house. We hung out on the front porch a lot, enjoying the view. We had a couple issues, but Dave the property manager was very attentive to our needs. If we come back this way, we would definitely stay here again.

Holiday visit with family

We had a relaxing and enjoyable stay on beautiful Orr's Island. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. We especially appreciated the open kitchen, living room, and dining area, where we could all spend time together.
