"We stayed in one of the small houses for two nights in April 2026. We had two beautiful days/nights. The radiant floors were a standout. The house faces west, which huge picture windows to the west and north. During the first night, we happened to catch a quick showing of northern lights. On the first morning, we spent several hours with the provided binoculars watching a minke whale and a few dolphins. Needless to say, we were super excited. Checkin was super easy as was checkout. "This place is awesome and had everything we needed. Very clean and lots of room gor a family of 4. This house is second to none in accomodations in Akureyri. We really enjoyed our stay there. "

"Really appreciated first class laundry facility. Kitchen well equipped, lovely spacious modern apartment. Only problem was the dreadful bed - no proper mattress, just a kind of soft non-supporting topper. Both of us awoke with back pain. "

"Place is ok but a few annoying things. Finding the place was not so easy. Also unexpectedly had stairs leading up to the apartment. The bed was not comfortable and pretty noisy. Blinds really don’t block out enough light. And there was no shampoo or shower wash. Pretty basic miss. "

"This is an incredible place to stay. It was problem the best lodge we've ever been to. It has stunning views across the fjord which can be enjoyed from the hot tub. It's really well equipped and was always a great place to come back to at the end of the day. Thank you!"
