Historic Maritime Greenport - 15 Min. Drive, and all Norfolk wineries are nearby.

a very nice house in Orient

The house was very well appointed. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well stocked. The pool was quite enjoyable, with ample seating/lounging areas. The back deck was used daily for meals al fresco. We had difficulty checking in-had not been provided the access code to the key box or the host's phone number ahead of time.. Then, a fluke, the key was stuck inside the lockbox. It required at least 2 trips back to a wifi equipped restaurant and multiple efforts to reach the host to solve the problem. This took 2 hours. If we had had the wifi code for the house to begin with, and the host's phone number, we might have been able to call the host from outside the door. We took advantage of the private beach, which was beautiful, and sampled many of the local restaurants, none of which disappointed.

Quiet Stay

Great experience very pleasant owners house is in a lovely neighborhood, Beautiful pool close to town the bay and the sound very peaceful stay would return again.

Air Conditioning

The house, property and pool were great but we didn't realize there was only a small air conditioning unit in the living room. Even with ceiling fans the nights were very hot in the bedrooms.

Great spot for a getaway in Orient

Home and grounds were well kept and inviting. Lots of outdoor space and a lovely heated pool. We would come back here again.

The cottage was wonderful, exactly as in photos. We arrived to a pristine clean home, bigger than we anticipated, with everything we could need for a long weekend - even some lawn games and pool toys. We spent days by the gorgeous pool (with some bonus wildlife in the garden: deer, rabbit, turkeys all came by), and evenings BBQing on the excellent grill and eating on the deck. There were no issues or concerns during our stay, and we had everything we needed. The surrounding area, including the beach, is lovely, everything from other beaches to farm stands and Greenport is easily accessible. Barbara was easy to communicate with, very responsive and friendly and the arrival and departure process was quick and easy with the self check in. We are definitely coming back!

Great location, quiet beach getaway

This was,a wonderful and relaxing beach getaway. Property is a short walk to a beautiful long island sound beach. A bit rocky, so water shoes are recommended. A short walk down to the very tip of orient point and great lighthouse view. Barely saw anyone on this beach until friday afternoon. The state park is a two minte drive. The pool at the house was delighful. Looks like photo. All the photos are very accurate. Extremely clean house, very comfortable, extremely comfotable beds, good quality linens and towels, had everything we needed to cook and grill and enjoy ourselves. Barbara was very responsive to email. (Mostly questions as nothing needed fixing). There is one portable a/c. We moved it into our bedroom and it cooled it down so we could sleep. It has to be emptied. That is probably the only complaint would have about this wonderful place. Our week was an extraordinarily hot one though and one would hope ac not routinely needed.
