"We arrived to find the main restaurant was being refitted after a major flood from a burst pipe but the staff coped well and it didn't impact are stay at all. In general the hotel needs a bit of TLC but the bed was clean and comfy which was all we really needed for a night."

"Barton Cottage is a lovely property in the beautiful Bourton on the Water. There is a lot to do just walking around the village (kid friendly)and nearby villages. There are great dining options nearby. We enjoyed the comfortable living room. We did have trouble finding the property and couldn’t get ahold of the management service. "Absolutely lovely manor house with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff with so much hospitality. Great food, wonderful interior. We recommend this hotel to anyone, and we’d like to come back in the near future as well!"

"The room was generally clean, but the en-suite had quite a bit of mould across the ceiling and the shower felt cramped, despite the large cubicle, due to the shower itself being squashed into the corner of the cubicle.The furniture is somewhat 'distressed' , but the bed was very comfortable and the duvet was great. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast on our first morning was very good, however, on the second morning the fried egg yolks were hard, but the whites were runny...

"Very Basic breakfast included but was ok. Expensive upgrade to full English ! Walls on room were very marked and interesting items left in the drawers !! Reception isn’t manned and no one answered the phone or bell when we rang during an emergency which isn’t great ! Shame as location is perfect !"

"Idyllic setting in a peaceful Cotswold village with beautiful gardens and views but still close to other towns and villages. Very nicely furnished bedroom and a fantastic large bathroom. The rooms were extremely dated - they didn't offer refrigerators, smart TVs, or safes - completely unacceptable for a comfortable stay.
