A beautiful setting with stunning views. Lots of work had gone into the grounds to make them pleasant for guests. The ponds house goldfish and frogs. We stayed for a week, but we only had one toilet roll for two people supplied, no cleaning products to keep the place clean, one rubbish bag, one tea towel and only one very used small cake of soap to use in the shower. We phoned about the toilet roll and toilet cleaner, which were supplied promptly which was great. We went out and bought soap, toilet air freshener, and cleaning cloths to use for our stay. There were small things wrong: a very bouncy bed when partner turned over, the other person bounced. A sliding door leading into the toilet from the bedroom that knocked when the wind blew (no bottom runner) so we used a folded facecloth to stop the knocking. No shelf to put your toilet bag when using it - only the floor or toilet lid as the vanity unit was very small. No hook for clothes when showering and nowhere to hang the single tea towel, so used the curtain hook. A dust pan and brush, but no broom. A stick vacumn cleaner that hardly worked and hadn't been emptied. The place just seemed a bit tired with faded curtains etc. Otherwise the accommodation was adequate with no frills. The location was delightful though and like being in a bird aviary full of bird song. So lovely. Just would have been better to stay only a couple of nights as the small problems became annoying after a weeks stay.
