Makai 315 is a beachy and bright two bedroom, two bath condo in a bayfront building on 42nd street in Ocean City, Maryland. The condo itself has everything one would need for a few night's or week's stay including a north facing balcony with a view of the bay, living room with a mounted TV with DirectTV service plus internet access, fully-equipped kitchen with breakfast bar, and washer and dryer. Factor in all of the wonderful amenities offered by the building and the stage is set for a great vacation! The building has two elevators serving all floors, an indoor pool with doors that are opened on good weather days to an outside deck, a ground floor lounge with free internet access, fitness center with an adjacent sauna and a billiards room. Conveniently located, the Convention Center is next door, plus a number of great restaurants are within walking distance and the beach is just a block away.
Accommodating up to six guests, the bed sizes include a king in the primary bedroom, a queen in the 2nd bedroom and a queen sleep sofa in the living room. Guests must supply sheets, towels, soaps and paper products. An optional linen package is available for purchase for this property and would be delivered to the condo on your day of arrival and picked up on your day of departure. The package would include sheet sets for each bed and towel sets equaling the maximum occupancy of the condo. This property rents with Thursday and Sunday check-in/check-out in season and any 3 nights off season.
Non-smoking, No-vaping. No pets, please . Property owner does not permit group rentals to guests under the age of 25.

Clean and Comfy Beds

We stayed here for the Spring car show due to its location. I namely chose it because I like 2 bathrooms (nice big master shower) and the pool tables for my older teen sons. I'm fussy with beds and these were comfy. Very clean!

Ups and downs

I gave mostly high scores because I know everything that was wrong was not due to housekeeping or the central reservations fault. It was odd that we had to go to a separate building to check-in and inconvenient after a long drive, however the attendant at check-in was quick and thorough. Several blinds were down and behind the couch. (Clearly a Problem) When we went to close the blinds a couple more fell. They do not need to be rehung they need to get new ones as these are clearly broken which I'm guessing is also a pain for housekeeping when attending the room. I understand there is a letter on the fridge about the fans might need cleaning. The one in the main area was fine, but the one in the smaller bedroom was REALLY dusty. The dust was so thick it was easily visible on both sides. Thank goodness I do not have an allergy problem, but I certainly did not turn the fan on. The mattress pad in the smaller bedroom was heavily stained. If it was a small stain I would not have said anything, but you might want to change that out. We did have a great time and loved being able to cook in the room with supplies to cook with. Loved the games! That was a great surprise and we did take advantage. :) Have an amazing summer!

Weekend Trip

The property was clean and conveniently located. The balcony offered a nice little view out over the bay which is a nice touch for someone who was visiting the east coast after living in the desert for the last year +. Overall, the process was smooth, the place was everything it was advertised as and we, as a group, were very happy with our selection.

Place needs a bit more care

Both bathroom cabinets below needed to be cleaned out and the dirty floor mats removed. The bedroom closets need to be cleaned out and better organized. They need to remove the old dresser in the second bedroom and replace the ripped picture in the living room. The stove needed to be cleaned and below the kitchen sink could use cleaning as well. We only stayed for the weekend but if we were there for the week this would be below standards. Also the main bedroom mattress cover needs to be replaced and there was a stain on the main bedroom mattress.
