"We got to the house and it was a lovely house, in a great location. The garbage outside had meat and other garbage not in bags. The storm door was broken which we fixed ourselves, the floor was full of sand, the air conditioner in the kitchen didnt blow cold air and the fan in the ktchen didnt work either, the remote was nowhere to be found. I think some of our money should be refunded."

"This house was very nice, as pictured or better. Clean, no issues checking in or out. Wagon was there as promised, more bikes than promised, lots of beach towels and chairs provided. The house had two wonderful outdoor second story decks with great views of the water and the ferry dock. Location was perfect, so convenient to ferry and market. Two things not great. Although it had an AC unit in every bedroom that all worked fine which made ground floor cool and comfortable, the main living...

"Stayed here for a girls trip. We were a group of 11. Most of the beds are doubles so probably can’t actually sleep 12 unless you’re a kid or on the smaller side. The way the beds are arranged requires one person to crawl over the other to get out of bed since they’re pushed up against the wall. (Not a dealbreaker but something to consider for guest comfort). As others have mentioned, feels bigger than it looks in the photos. The bathrooms were ok. To break it down: there’s 1 half bath...

"We loved the location, but the home was loaded with spiders, most appliances did not work (dishwasher did not work, blender, toaster oven, the stove top only half worked) - plus the pots were scratched (and with Teflon not useable) The shower door was broken and would not close, the toilet paper roll holder had no dowel to hold roll, toilet seat very loose, door frames were chipped and dirty, hold in wall next the bed in room with bunkbeds, laundry closet had missing doors. "

"Fred showed us welcome and care! House was perfect for our group and felt homey while giving people enough privacy. The use of the amenities was great and everything was well-stocked from kitchenware to beach chairs. The yard was private and shaded. Great stay!"

"Quick 2-night stay, couldn’t have been more comfortable. Ocean Beach (town) has everything (one would need for a Fire Island stay), yet the house is beautifully secluded away from it all. The house is well-cared for with delightful details. The view is wonderful. We had everything we needed. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you!"

"Unlike many Fire Island rentals, this place lived up to its description! It was clean and beautifully stocked with beach chairs and towels and kitchen dishware/pots/cutlery and spices. Plenty of blankets and pillows and even a pack and play which we needed. I was always able to communicate with Len the owner and he was quick to respond. We are hoping to rent again next season!"

"Santo's cottage is cute, close to the water and has everything you could need in it. My stay was short in that I was only there for a night but Santo is a great communicator and made my stay easy. To top it off Meow is the cat's MEOW!!! I will be back next year to get some fly fishing in. Thank you!!"

"This property is steps away from the ferry, steps away from the beach and steps away from food, drinks and music. We had a great time. Cassie greeted us and made sure we had everything we needed!!!! She also went out of her way to make my daughters 21st birthday special. Highly recommend this property."

"Overall the property was nice and comfortable. It had everything you need with a few exceptions. The shower curtain was really unclean and sanitary. The towels were old and didn’t “look” clean. The baseboards and door in the bathroom were dirty and there was no toilet paper holder, which isn’t sanitary. That sound like a lot but it wasn’t! We were able to solve all the issues ourselves and enjoyed the stay."

"Everything listed in the property description was accurate. The host reached out to me after booking, to ensure the accommodation would be a good fit, and her communication before and throughout the stay was top-notch. I appreciate that the door code is personalized for each guest - for those worried about safety, this is a good touch along with the added lock on the inside.
