"Registration was cursory. Certainly not rude, just “fill in your details and here’s your key.” No offer of assistance for two seniors to carry suitcases up narrow stairs. No further information offered. Room was adequate. Shower is traditional British style - in a very high narrow tub, very dangerous for seniors in my opinion. Notice in room that no outside food allowed, and may result in an additional charge. Overall good value for money, but more of a two star than a three star hotel. "

"Hotel is beautiful and everything is super chic.. loved our stay, staff very helpful and the areas to chill, drink, eat and relax are good. Swam in pool and lake, also arrived to a beautiful plate of chocolates for our wedding anniversary, lovely treat.. will be back for a girls retreat next time … a wonderful stay .. xxxx "

"We have stayed at this hotel several times before. It’s a great location in Eastbourne. The bed was clean and fresh and the breakfast very tasty. However, it is very tired. Our room was very disappointing- damp on the ceiling, one light fitting in the en-suite was hanging out of the ceiling and 2 other down lighting bulbs did not work. There was no heating in the room and it was needed. Also, there was no BBC on the very small and inefficient TV."

"A Japanese-style tearai washbasin is simply not adequate for washing one's face or brushing teeth, especially when there isn't enough room to approach it head on by straddling one's legs either side of the toilet. Such a contrivance is only meant for HANDWASHING after using the toilet, not for full night-time/morning ablutions, BUT it isn't even adequate for handwashing when one has to stand to one side of it because of aforementioned lack of toilet-straddling space AND the idiot who installed...

"The hotel looks nice as you enter, and location is beautiful with a sea front view, but overall, not well kept. Door latches and toilet holders falling off, stains on the walls, dirty carpeting. King size bed was comfortable, but the room was drabby and unpleasant. I wouldn't stay here, again."

"I was disappointed with the room, the one I chose from the photos online was definitely not to the same standard. It was much smaller, I didn’t have a table and chairs (as shown in photos) I booked a double room with sea view, the bathroom, windows, door and walls were very tired and the work that had been done was not very well finished. Needed to buy my own bottled water for kettle as the tap water tasted awful. The lift was out of order, when I looked online it said they did breakfast, when I...
