Parts of Emeryville may be a little iffy and it seems true for the outskirts of where this hotel is located. However, they take precautions to help provide peace of mind and safeguard their guests’ safety, which u super appreciate - security guard patrolling the parking lot at night and access to the elevator with a hotel key cards.
While the outside might look a bit worn, don’t judge a book by its cover. The interior of this hotel has been renovated and is in great shape.
Staff is attentive and helpful. Complimentary coffee in the AM in the lobby area by the bar. There’s a gym on premise - not the best but enough to get a good workout in while traveling. Also, free parking - we were going to stay in Hyatt House / Hyatt Place (there’s both of these in the neighboring area) but you have to pay extra for parking, which is silly to be given it’s not in the city city.
Room is great and spacious as well. Again, it looks renovated and we had no complaints staying here and would stay here again as it’s a cost effective option that’s close to SF and also Berkeley and Oakland. I’d highly recommend this hotel!
