We had a very enjoyable time. The view was amazing and the house was very spacious! The only think I would say otherwise is the yard needs some work. Otherwise, we had a great stay there.

Great views

This is our second time staying here. The home is very comfortable and clean. Plenty of space to spread out. The view of the ocean is beautiful. Will stay again if we come back to this area

The check-in process was miserable. The mgmt co wouldn't give us access till we jumped thru all kinds of hoops that weren't required till the last minute. The yard and the walkway were full of sand. No screens in the sliders, so couldn't leave them open with pets. The deck is in bad need of stain. The coffee pot had a half inch of dried coffee in the bottom. The rugs and furniture were old, scratched, and stained. The floor is soft and slanted in several places. The fridge barely gets cold. There are missing smoke alarms. We had to notify them of two friends stopping by to visit or risk "eviction". They wanted to charge over 50 to check-in one hour early when clearly it was empty. We paid WAY too much for this place. Myself and family stay at vacation rentals regularly and this was the worst value for money I've seen. Do yourself a favor and find another place. I wish we had.

Amazing views

Pretty interior, spacious, amazing views, but unable to be in the yard due to the wind and sand drifts. Yard is not fenced as the sand dunes go up as high as the fence in some areas. Many eagles flying overhead which was amazing to see and beautiful view of the San Juans.

Inside of the house was very clean however, the sliders were so dirty you could not see through them. My grandson cleaned some spaces so we could see the beautiful view. We had 6 in our party and there were only 3 coffee mugs and 5 bowls. The fireplace was not usable. It required things that were not available. Other than that, the overall stay was good.

Adorable Cliffside Rambler!

We had an excellent stay at this adorable cliffside rambler, overlooking the Salish Sea to beautiful Victoria and the majestic mountain range of the Olympic National Forest. The home was clean and comfortable and well stocked with appliances, flatware, dishes, pots/pans, etc. Cell service can be weak in the area depending on your provider, however the high speed internet was reliable. The property manager was courteous and VERY responsive. Be careful when exiting the driveway as the bushes, though beautiful, give a large blind spot to oncoming traffic, especially for southbound traffic coming from the north (left as driving out). My only complaint is the unexpected $45 charge (via email) for potential accidents that I didn't see in the listing. I suppose they've been burned before, so please be respectful to the home of the fantastic host(s).

Location great, details disappointing

The location and view were truly beautiful, making it a great spot to relax—just be sure to bring your own chairs or outdoor furniture if you plan to enjoy it. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but unfortunately, the check-in process was frustrating. We weren’t notified until 45 minutes after the scheduled 4 p.m. check-in that the house wasn’t ready, and we ended up waiting in the driveway until 5:30 p.m. Once inside, we found dirty dishes and silverware in the cupboards and had to go into town to buy cleaning supplies before we could cook. The charcoal grill was unusable, and there weren’t enough cups for our six-person group.Other issues included a piece of broken artwork in the hallway and a garage "game room" that was cluttered with trash and broken furniture. While the rental company was responsive and did send a 50 Amazon gift card to apologize, it was still disappointing to arrive with family at a location in the middle of an island only to spend time cleaning and adjusting to several unexpected issues.

Hidden Cameras, Rude Owner, and a Creepy Dungeon

It was terrible from the initial point of sale. Unpleasant owner offering no flexibility, poor communication and support for all of the deficiencies inside and out of the property. Had no internet (no cell service here), no working TV, but had cameras/monitors inside and out. When I tried to cancel due to the use of cameras, he stated cameras are now a VRBO requirement…creepy at best, and a total invasion of privacy. Beware of the rotting floor (leading to a scary dungeon) in the master. Yard was a mess, with sand, trash and dog feces everywhere. Be advised, this property is on a high cliff that is eroding. Not a place to bring small children.

This home has the potential to be a great rental. Please read because it is not all bad. The View was absolutely spectacular. However, there were a few concerns. First one was, They only had 2 wine glasses? The outdoor has the most potential to have a nice fire pit with nicer chairs (not ones to just recline in). Lastly, The check in process was a little weird, having to take a selfie with your ID was just odd but I get the security of it but still and then the check in day of, they should message and really make sure you read the whole check in before getting to the house, I of course came straight from work so didn't get to the 3rd page that says to save the code to get into the house bc the service is awful, so of course I got to the house and had no service to get onto the check in portal to get the code- had to drive a mile down the road till i got service, then the last day we blew a fuse, which caused the Wifi to go which the breaker box was no where to be found plus no service to call to find out how to fix. Now, some of these issues were my fault (not reading the check in or blowing a fuse blow drying my hair) but all in all we had a great time. It was a quiet neighborhood and again the view was absolutely amazing. I am biased bc I use to do property management in a luxury venue in the east coast, but They were very quick to respond and very helpful. The rooms/beds were clean and comfortable. I would still return to visit!

Nice view and close to town

The view is beautiful and great location close to town. There are some items that need to be addressed which include the yard not being fully fenced. The road in front of the house has high speed traffic and no one would see your dogs close to the road. Please correct the listing. There are busted up ergonomic chairs in the backyard that should be thrown away and replaced. The outside back of the house needs lights bulbs replaced. The master bed did not have a fitted sheet just a top sheet and comforter. There were extra comforters in the master closet but were to small for the master bed and there were not any extra sheets anywhere in the house nor in the garage where the rental company said they would be. The living room sliding glass door may be difficult for some people to open. The washing machine had an error message on it so unusable. It was almost an hour late before we could check in as the cleaning lady was still there and not finished but yet we were expected to be out on time. They also said that if any friends were coming over they could only stay for a few hours and having to sign the rental agreement that protected the rental company but nothing that protects the short term rentals.

Worst VRBO Experience

I have been renting properties for over a decade. I love utilizing the option and have had amazing experiences until now. This was the worst experience I have had. Marbella property management conducts very shady business practices. Though I paid for the rental in full, they would not give me the address and check in information for the property until I gave them pictures of both sides of my ID, pictures of my credit card and another NONREFUNDABLE payment for damages. This nonrefundable payment was to "enhance" my stay. In addition, I was required to provide the pictures of my ID and credit card AND the additional charge on a sketchy website outside of VRBO. I called the management company and told them I was not comfortable with there process, but they were unrelenting. Also, I think there was a language barrier as I could tell that the person was reading their responses and trying to pronounce words. So I am not entirely sure Marbella's representative on the phone fully understood my concerns. I called VRBO twice to report the issue. VRBO did try to help me as I was not willing to provide pictures of my identification and credit card online. Marbella property management was completely uncooperative and did not provide the check in information or the address of the property. Do not try to rent from this company as it truly seems like a fraudulent organization and the VRBO post does not outline these rental requirements and additional nonrefundable charges.

Trip from heck!!!

We drove 4 hours in snow 15 minutes before we got there they said we could not stay ! Had to drive another 3 hours home in dark and snow! Seven hours on road, they place hung up on us when we asked to speak to manager and would not answer. No compensation, one of my worse travel experience ever!
