"The receptionist that checked us in was very abrupt and rude. We only got answers after a more senior receptionist was involved and could answer our questions. The biggest issue was that we paid for breakfast for 2 because Expedia clearly states that this is served daily from 06.30 and we had to be on our way by 07.10. We were informed that this information was wrong and the senior receptionist was only able to give some fruit, an energy bar, a yoghurt and croissant! This is not worth £19.50...

"We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Chestnut Tree. Lisa, the host was the main reason, she is a great communicator which is important when booking. She was so very helpful with local information and incredibly kind. Our room was beautiful and the amenities in the bathroom delightful. The area is beautiful but with only one night, we didn’t get the change to do much exploring. Next time. Thank you Lisa for a wonderful stay."

"The single negative Is that we ordered pizza we wanted to eat in bed but they then didn’t have any., Other than that, staff were polite and friendly, especially the ladies on reception in both the hotel and the pool on Wednesday evening. The steam room, pool and jacuzzi were all a good temperature (I hate a cold pool and jacuzzi, there’s just no point as it’s not enjoyable). "The bed was really uncomfortable, which was a surprise for a PI, as they pride themselves on the bed comfort. The bar was open late which was great. The parking is small, only 17 spots and you pay for this daily. "
