"Cleaners really helpeful, let me check my bags in early in order to attend a wedding a few miles away. Would love to stay a little longer next time. Also breakfast in the cafe was excellent. Thanks for the stay"

"Place is very close to the train station and right inside one of the gates of the York city walls. My only complaint is that we booked the hotel choosing the “pay at hotel” option as we are travelling as a group of friends but one person was doing all the booking, but they charged us on the reservation credit card before we arrived, rendering that option completely meaningless to us."

"This was an excellent property, immaculate in fact, plenty of storage ,everything was spotlessly clean, modern and well maintained. Beautiful bedrooms , comfy beds, loads of storage again . Everything had been well thought out . Good enclosed garden great for our dog . Margaret the owner was very helpful , the property was in an excellent position for visiting the surrounding area and Kirk Hammerton itself was a beautiful village and we only wish we could have stayed longer !"

"Overall, we had an okay stay, but I feel the property was overpriced for what it offered.
The location was convenient, around a 30-minute walk or 25-minute bus journey into York city centre. Having on-site parking was a real bonus, as was the nearby supermarket. We also appreciated the baby gate on the stairs, and our children loved sleeping in the bunk beds.
However, there were several issues that affected our stay. The property is advertised as a two-bedroom apartment, but in reality it has...
