Spectacular sunsets on Rustico Bay

Bayfront Haven is a charming one-and-a-half-story home in the seaside village of North Rustico, PEI. Set on 160 feet of waterfront, it offers stunning bay views and sunsets from a large back deck surrounded by wild roses and perennial gardens.

Peaceful yet close to local activity, the home features large windows, a cozy living and dining area, and a well-equipped galley kitchen. The upper level has a king bedroom, the main level includes a den with two child-sized built-in beds and a full bath, and the lower level has two queen bedrooms, laundry, and a second bath with step-in shower. A private outdoor shower adds to the beachside experience.

Enjoy nearby beaches, bike trails, kayaking, deep sea fishing, restaurants, and theatre—all just steps away. Centrally located between Charlottetown and Summerside, with golf courses close by, Bayfront Haven is the perfect PEI retreat.

Fantastic Location

The location of this cottage was fantastic, we were able to spend time on the deck watching the boats come in and out and watch fantastic sunsets. I wouldn't say the cottage has all of the amenities you would want. It was very hot when we were there and their heat pump wasn't working, the baking sheets for the over don't fit, the one large burner on the over doesn't work, leaving you with three small ones. When we came to check in, the manager was still there cleaning (we arrived 15mins after check-in), apparently the people ahead of us (no idea when they left), left the windows in the basement open, there was water all over the floor (which was cleaned up) but it was very damp down there for two days. I would also recommend as in other reviews to make the description clear that there is one bedroom upstairs with no door, it's just open to downstairs There is a nook that has two pads on benches for additional sleeping on the main floor. And there are two bedrooms in the basement. The cottage is for sale so maybe upkeep isn't in front of mind but after we checked out, I emailed the manager about some of these issues and never heard back.

Perfect Location with gorgeous views

Gorgeous harbor views out front, conveniently across the street to beach access out back and next to a beautiful boardwalk that goes into town. The property is perfectly located for a North Rustico trip and North Rustico is perfectly located to check out all PEI coasts via day trips. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone planning a PEI vacation!!! We had an amazing trip, the house is exactly as described and Dean is fast to reply. Book it :)

good location/ not so good house

The house has a good location, is clean, nice yard and outdoor deck. That's about it for the good. The upstairs bedroom doesn't have a bathroom. The nearest bath is located off the kitchen. The bath is very small and outdated. There is another bath and 2 bedrooms located in the basement. The furnishings are old and mismatched. The outdoor deck has a nice view but the outdoor furniture is not comfortable and needs a coat of paint. Kitchen appliances are old. TV in upstairs bedroom is not connected to cable so no reception.

Pretty great PEI getaway!

I stayed here with my best friend and her family. It couldn’t have been a better location for everyone to find something enjoyable. There was ice cream, book stores, restaurants, a bakery, fishing charters, the National Seashore all within walking distance. The driveway is large enough to fit four cars if needed. It was entertaining to watch the birds, boats, and dock activity from the back deck. The hot water was plentiful and the water pressure in each shower was very nice. There is a full size washer and dryer, helpful for my friend who’s son did hockey camp in Charlottetown. Anne of Green Gables is less than 15min away. There was some tweaking with the AC and fans, but luckily for us the weather was comfortable. I personally put up some shade in the back yard while we stayed there, and it made the back yard a great place to stay all day long in the hot August sun. There is also a grocery store right up the street, and we made some nice home cooked meals. The wifi was great for one of us to work comfortably for the week.. can’t recommend this home enough. (Except that maybe I wouldn’t want it impossible to book again.)

Great Property. Great Host. Great Spot.

Loved Bayfront Haven. First, Dean let us check in early so we could get changed and situated before heading off to an incredible meal/experience with Chef Michael Smith at the Inn at Bay Fortune (highly recommend it if you're a first-timer to PEI; just make your reservations well in advance), over an hour away. Grateful for that. With Rustico Bay on one side and the beach behind and across the street, it is a beautiful spot. Not to mention that there is an excellent restaurant next door and the village amenities are within walking distance. Bayfront Haven itself is modest, but clean and comfortable. We would definitely book again.

Great location-needs a few upgrades

This was a fantastic location for a group of women who wanted to do a lot of hiking in the National Park and eat lots of seafood! ( it is right next door to two excellent restaurants and 10 minutes from the Glasgow Lobster supper). Has a grocery store a walk away. Great view from the porch. Well equipped-comfortable beds, very clean. However- given the price -a few simple and inexpensive things would really make this place shine. There were lightbulbs missing in most of the hall lights ( dark coming in at night) and one bedroom lamp. There was a knob missing on the large burner of the stove. A bit of paint on the chairs, repair the screen at the entrance and another page of instructions in the binder re how to turn on the heat ( it was cool when we went)- would be helpful. It was not obvious that the air conditioner was also the heat! The properly manager was helpful when we did reach him. We woudl actually have given this 3.5/5-4/5 with a few minor fixes

Spectacular Cottage on the Water

Wow! What a location! Private patio overlooking the water and stone’s throw from fantastic restaurant and the boardwalk. The cottage was quaint and clean with all the amenities we needed. The ONLY challenge was the listing wasn’t completely clear about locations of bedrooms and bathrooms on each level. Having our dad with us, who requires a walker, meant that he could only sleep and use bathroom on the main level of the house, and that bathroom had a tub/shower combo with no grab bar for him to shower (and he couldn’t step into the tub). The basement level had 2 bedrooms and a bath with beautiful walk-in shower. Unfortunately he could not go down the stairs. Overall a fantastic stay! Highly recommend!

Family Vacation

This was an amazing property for our famy vacation. It was wonderful to be able to get up each morning and walk on a beach, have coffee on the deck and watch fishing boats and sea birds. The village was a 15 minute walk away for groceries, an amazing bakery and there were SO many restaurants nearby to walk to. We all loved it.

Disappointing stay

If you are ok with mediocre cleanliness than this property could be for you. I had to go buy cleaning supplies and clean the place as best I could before we could stay. Contacted the owner and he responded the end of the next day that he could move us to another location but by then I had already cleaned the place and we stayed. The place is very run down and old which could be rustic if cleaned up. It does have beautiful views of the ocean and is a great location for tourists. Amazing local eatery on the dock was one of the highlights of our trip. Overall, it wouldn’t be a bad place if cleaned properly prior to clients arrival.
