"The property was well run by all the staff in the restaurant and the bar . Friendly and professional manner. Staff were helpful and have a good knowledge of the local area. Room was spacious and yet cosy, and was cleaned daily. Property is in great location on the main road in Street. Plenty of free car parking at the rear . Loved the outside seating area . Will definitely be returning. "

"A simple and modest country village pub with very friendly owners who took great pains to welcome and look after me. Arriving late, they had kept a good supper for me. The bedroom was large, clean and nicely old fashioned. The old church nearby chimed through the night but did not wake me. As I left before breakfast, the landlords left me a sandwich and apple. In no way smart and modern but with a very warm and relaxing atmosphere. "

"Great location with several bars & restaurants within a short walk, parking just a short walk away from 5pm to 9am. Room was clean & bathroom spacious a good large shower cubical. Breakfast was freshly cooked & very nice to start the day with. When back in area will be on my list to stay again. "

"Really nice hotel, with supportive staff. I was very surprised with the fact that dinner included a three course meal. The dinner bed and breakfast was a very good value option Definitely better value than alternatives, such as the local Premier Inn, for those travelling through Yeovil"

"We had a great welcome and were shown to our fabulous room. Spacious and well decorated, it had a great spread of tea and coffee with real milk in the fridge! Comfortable bed and new, good quality bedding. Plenty of drawers and hanging space. Sofa and desk for daily activities. Tha bathroom had the best walk in shower setting we have seen so far! "Room was perfect, spacious and warm. It’s an old building so it had little steps to watch out for. So much variety for breakfast - cooked to order hot food, pastries, yoghurts etc. Some evenings it was a bit noisy outside but not for long and it is an Inn / pub. Parked 4pm-10am for free outside the cathedral. Highly recommend staying here. "
