"Location was lovely, nice walks along the river. ( Spotted a Grey Nurse shark). Enjoyed a meal at the bowls club nearby with discount from the motel. Drove to Port Macquarie and had a lovely time there. Went to the Koala rescue centre too. Room on the small side, had to live out of suitcase due to tiny wardrobe etc. Although there was a microwave, fridge & kettle it was all a tight fit. Try for a larger room. Pleasant staff."

"The property appears to be somewhat dated, and unfortunately the bathtub showed signs of mould. We also found the blanket to be unclean, and my son developed a rash after contact. Aside from these concerns, the area felt safe and quiet, and the beach was easily accessible."

"The staff were very helpful. I did not receive any code for the lock box, called after hours number and a staff member was there to let me in, in two minutes. Very family friendly and my doggie loves the place and the beach that he runs on. I stayed two days this time and really enjoyed myself. The nights were very quiet and I slept well. "The rooms were really nice, the bathroom was nice and big. We were there on King’s Birthday, there were no staff for check in, but it was pretty straightforward to check in without them. We requested a late check out as we have a very young baby, and they accommodated us very well and also provided a cot for us for our stay. The only thing was our keys stoped working at normal checkout time, so it was lucky I was still in the room at this time. The tavern across from the lodge was very close...

"Just a cabin , in need of care. Stayed midweek, you get what you pay for… bathroom desperately needs a make over. Outside & deck need a gerni. Location is handy"

"A lovely location, with leafy, tidy grounds around the cabins. Room was older, but extremely clean and tidy. Great place for a longer stay."

"Needs an update in the hallways . We are in our 70’s and had trouble with getting up 2.5 flights of stairs and none of the staff offered to help us. Breakfast is very minimal, but we already knew that when we booked. The sea view was half lake and rest buildings. I found the same when we left both had backs aching all the way to Mooloolaba"
